Diesel Prices!!

I had put this over in the "Other" category. I would like to hear about fuel prices from other areas.

Heading south to Fl. in a few weeks and was attempting to estimate costs which will be greatly increased if the price for diesel has gone up that much all over.

Yikeees!! What happened??!!

Diesel has risen over .50 in less than 3 weeks here in eastern PA. Now diesel costs more than high test gas.

Are there any Diesel omnibud groups looking into this price fixing/gouging of J.Q.Public, again? Or is all our fuel going for the tanks poised to flatten Iraq?

GScott

Re:Diesel Prices!!

MUst be lower pricing out here in the west. A trip from Boise, Idaho to San Francisco and back last weekend revealed Idaho was about $1.60, Nevada was about $1.70 and CA was about $1.75 (all per gallon). I use places that trucks frequent mostly like flying J, CFN and Flyers. Close to San Fran, the prices jumped to about $2 per gallon but I didn;t ahve to fuel there.

Don M.
97 2500

A big contributor to the higher prices in the east is the colder weather you folks are experiencing. Refiners are still producing heating oil rather than diesel.

Overall, the threat of war with Iraq and the strike in Venezuela has caused inventories to be down and therefore prices to be up.

-Jay

$1.49 here in Washington State at the local Cenex or Co-Op. Be careful not to use the agricultural diesel it's running $1.09 a gallon.

$1.659 here in Southern Indiana, .10 frickin cents rise since I bought the truck only a few months ago... I cant complain though cause im still paying less than my gasser buddies =) even if it is only 1 cent under regular... Kinda sucks that I go through over 100 gal of diesel a week

Re:Diesel Prices!!

:'( Diesel was 1.67.9 Here in Michigan yesterday. Last spring the oil companys told congress they wouldn't raise gas prices to $2.00 a gallon last summer. They didn't lie, but it hasn't been much below 1.35.9 for diesel all last year and hasn't been below 1.53.9 this year.
I for one would like to tell the war monger to stop that talk but appers I'm the only Veit Nam Vet that had a buddy die on them for NOT A D____ thing.
:-X Al

Depends on your definition of we. ::)
The same greedy folks now bringing you $2.00 diesel fuel will still control the oil.

I've got to agree with Jamie being a fellow Canadian, please tell him to back off. Though I do hate Saddam, Bush is making it very expensive to drive my truck. Today I went to put DIESEL in my truck and was laughing at what all the gas drivers were paying. To my surprise, pulling up beside the pump the price of diesel was 83.9 a litre. A full one cent more then gas!!!!! I don't know what this translates to into gallons but the man in the gas bar told me that the day before they were told to bring the price of diesel up a full 10 cents a litre. This is an F'ing joke.
