What's up with the price of diesel? I knew at least couple of stations around Everett and Arlington area that had the diesel for less than the regular unleaded, but now they've raised their price too > Now there's no place around here that has the diesel for less than regular gas. So much for better fuel economy. The cheapest diesel around here is now $1.85/Gal. Regular is $1.73 at Safeway. How are the prices around other parts of the country? ???

 

Pacific pride diesel was 2.11 a few days ago :'( I have to fill up tomorrow, :'( who knows how much now. :'(

 

:'( Hey Down here in Sunny San diego, Ca on a temp job! The cheapest spot that i gotten diesel is $1.799 and I have seen it $2.059 around the area!!! I was in Mexico the 2 fueling stations in TJ did not have Diesel!

 

This is really starting to burn my britches. I filled up at the pump in Regina on Friday and it cost me an unreal $91Cdn ($61 USD) to fill. 88.9 cents a litre! Even ag fuel is up to 65 - 69 cents a litre.

I'm placing calls to my MLA and MP on Monday. The oil companies are simply milking this war for all its worth, and its time our elected reps are do something about it.

Amen Pushrod. Reg gas is 82.9/l here and diesel is 71.9/l (x3.8 for US gal). Oil isn't near high enough to justify the GOUGING at the pump. I was in Regina Wed. am and it was so freaking cold with the windchill I about froze. Not a good time to se the "check engine light come on. (It was a KW with a kitty not a Cummins) 2 weeks ago 64.9 for diesel, 4 weeks ago 59.9. B**tards all of em.

The cheapest price that I have seen lately is $1.659. ALMOST makes me feel better. BTW reg. gas is also $1.659

 

Been teetering around 2.00US/gallon for the past 4 weeks here in PA.<br><br>Premium Unleaded is around 1.75US/gallon. Regular unleaded is 1.65/gallon.<br><br>Costing me about 0.10/gallon to drive the rig...fuel costs alone.<br><br>Been driving the econobox which costs around 0.067/gallon.

Diesel should be way cheaper than gas as it is less refined. Here in B.C. it is suppost to be .11 cents a litre cheaper than gas for that very reason. It use to be monitered more closely but the fuel stations are getting away with murder.The oil companys need to be thaught a lesson with diesel members boycotting a oil company for a month and then boycott a new oil company the next month and so on. Maybe they might open thier eyes when they lose some $$$$$$$

I really have to agree with Nascar Mark, how do they justify this? Here in Ontario it's the same for the prices. In fact gas had gone down the same amount that diesel went up price. How is it that we are paying more for a less refined product? <br>Just to venture into my own opinion: I think the reason is that while the price of oil has gone up, the oil companies are trying to make the gassers happy. This probably has to do with the threat of war upon Iraq and trying to keep as much public opinion on the side of war as possible. The biggest comsumers of diesel would be the transports run mostly by bigger companies. I think they have decided to hit them in the pocket books instead of the average car driver.

 

Gee......I wonder how many politicos, their family members, friends and voters, drive Diesel powered vehicles? ???
