Curling

l'm watching curling from the Olympics. I can't believe how exciting it is! Every now and then, I have to sit back, take a deep breath and calm myself! Huh? What? Me? Cabin fever? I'll sure be glad when it gets up to about 90*.

my 2 cents

The USA has a legitimate shot at the Bronze medal in mens curling...considering the low popularity of the sport except in a few northern States that is pretty good going.

The gold & silver will go to Canada & Britain (Team Scotland) in the mens while the gold & silver will go to Canada & China in the womens division.

If there is ICE involved NEVER count out a Canuk!

When we run the table & win four straight to capture the gold we'll see who is laughing.

In all seriousness there are 5 teams that can possbily win the men's hockey...but that is another topic.

no, it is something that canadians do while drinking. just like hockey, football, lacrosse, and pretty much any other "sport" on the planet.

Seriously, I have seen top curling teams win, while being so drunk they can barely stand up. Try that in basketball or hockey. Hah

I always thought curling was the act of lifting a 12 ounce weight from a table to ones mouth.

Jam can curling. Thats what I remember the older members of the family doing.
Then they invented basketball when it got too cold outside to curl anymore.
Way back in the old days when basketball was invented in Canada, several folks here and in the USA said it would never amount to anything. LOL
Those professional curlers make some BIG MONEY.

I've always enjoyed watchin curling, I can remember as a kid flippin on CBC and having it on. Sure, it's not the most exciting sport, but it does look like it takes a pretty good amount of skill. I would love to try playin it. And they were sayin on the TV coverage the Canadians get all offended if you compare it to shuffleboard, lol. I also like that they are tryin to get more young people playin it...I could watch those Danish girls sweep ice all day long
