Good for you! Oh rah!

On the note of speeding tickets.... I get out of them all the time. Ohio has a ridiculous "duty to inform" clause in its CHL legislation. Everytime I get stopped its "Officer, I'm obligated under Ohio law to inform you that I have a CHL and I am or am not carrying." This silly part of the law has saved me at least $500 in the last two years. It probably doesn't hurt that I live next door to the Chief and 4 of my stops have been in my hometown.

 

I got out of a speeding ticket for agreeing to testify against the guy I was racing against. I couldn't swear that the guy they had in court was actually the guy I was racing because I never actually saw his face. I didn't record his license plate either which irked the cop. Of course I knew I couldn't identify the guy but I knew him because I knew the car but they didn't ask me to ID the car. We both got off which is how we planned it.
