Just washed the beast. Forgot the towels to dry it with, so will have to wait a bit before I get to shining. Did the 89 yesterday, sure looks better than the 98 does.

Wifey gets the diesel for the next couple weeks, and I get to run the 89. Goody!! 9 -10 mpg empty. She splatted a deer with the Toyota Rav-4. That's the second one she has got with it. Told her she has a better track record than some of the "mighty hunters" I work with.

Have a good week, and if you need any deer thinned out, call my wife.

Brrrr ... the sun peeked thru the clouds a few times today until I decided to take a walk. Nothing like a slow, cold drizzle to quicken the pace .

One more week of base indoctrination and then I will finally find out what my new job is. Actually, I know what it is .... everything that everone else wants to get rid of. Oh well ... only 730 days until I hit my 20 year mark. I can do that standing on my head.

Sherod ... you must have a big freezer for all that bambi-burger that your wife keeps bringing home. I keep waiting for my wife to clip one with her Yukon. She tends to fly up the dirt road and the deer in our neck of the woods just sit there and watch her drive up to them. They ain't skeer'd. (Might be kinda nice to be able to hunt with a ball peen hammer.)

Ya'll keep it between the fenceposts,
PISTOL

It's Monday morning here is Germany, cold too. Be here for a few more days.
Amazing, some of the best Chinese food I have had was at the Asia Resturant Michelle in Weiden Germany.
Went to Prague in the Chech Republic. It was a guided tour. It was cold and rained part of the time. Grandparents came from Ceska Boutivicha, (sp).
Hoped to have pork, saurkraut and dumplings for lunch as I grew up on that. Sunday dinner at Grama's.
But it started raining and hailing, so ducked into Reykjavik resturant. It is a Icelandic resturant, know for seafood. I had pork and baked potato. Wife had a steak. Excellent food.
It is amazing to see a 500 year old building with a 2 way sattelite dish on it. Or see a cell tower on an old building.
When we come back in June gonna take a 4 day Prague trip.
Been having fun.

Davey

Mondays.. for me it's a succession of mondays ad friday 13 for the last two weeks.
Weather cold, rain, windy. Sleep? what's that? Driving a loaner that costs more than my truck and doesn't even have a radio..

Well, there's got to be a tuesday someday

Good morning, coffee is outstanding, german navy got fiesty again, had to sink another Bizmark. Suppose to get some well, needed rain today. Found 6-8 morels in places I've watered this weekend. They should be everywhere, but it's so dry, they have a burn ban on again.

Got the backhoe Saturday night and got the well pit dug out. Chaikwa came up Sunday morning, and after a power breakfast, we made a good go of it, with minimal damage. Got the new well driven, with a nice 5' trench for the supply line to the house. Got the drain for the septic dug out. Had time to spare to knock over half a dozen Aspen for a future pole barn.

Another great day in AK, sunny, light breeze to keep those pesky mosqitoes that are now hatching by the thousands away. I wonder how Fiverbob is doing? Haven't heard from him yet, hope the Alcan hasn't swallowed his truck up!

Thinking about taking an Alaskan Cruise next year.
What's the best time to head out that way?
(Last cruise we took was in the Caribbean in late Sept. hurricane season and want to avoid the weather problems this time.)

At least a week.
Wifey brought home a flyer from Carnival Cruise Lines.
Looks like a "Private Balcony" room is ~$1,500 per person.(not counting airfare)

Survived Monday,.....now on to Tuesday,
Wifey's in a "Gotta Paint The House" mood again
But I know how how to handle THAT situation.
