Very interesting indeed! I have carried on campus, but not as a student. Is there a difference? Or does that rule only apply to the students? If not, I guess I was breaking the law and didn't know it !

It would be a very good thing to have more people who can get CCW to have them on campus.

Guidelines #4, last sentence. Be aware of this, I've had this happen to me before.

I'm pretty sure it applies to all persons... it wouldn't make sense to say that only students are not allowed CCW on campus but any joe off the street with his CCW permit can carry on a college campus.

I need to get in gear and get my Kansas CCW... I'm really starting to see the no-gun signs pop up around town though.

I know in Wyoming and North Carolina it's illegal to carry on any school property public or private.

You were, Zero tolorance gun free zones apply to all who enter the premisies, that is why the the saftey of college kids is left to Campus security with tasers and mace only. And k-12 only have walkie talkies! (I sure hope the police get here in time to save the day!)

I'm glad that there is a growing movement for school carry,( Gun free = resistance free ) We should all pressure our law makers (and school officials, paid by us!) to allow us and our famliys to protect ourselves wherever we are!

Add Washington state to that list.

We can carry anywhere in Utah, including schools and universities.

Ok, not post offices, courts, federal buildings or LDS Churches, everywhere else is fair game.

Well to answer your question...Yes you are out there! always have been

But I agree a sign like that just says (nothing in here but helpless sheep) to a crazy wacko.

I remember a class in which we had a county deputy in the class. It initially drew "quite a reaction" from a few people when they saw him in plain clothes with his gun at his side... Had these people looked a little closer, his Sheriff badge was on his belt right next to his gun...

Now if that room was held up by a crazy with a gun, he may have saved a lot of lives. I see this as no different than any other law abiding citizen that is properly trained and permitted to carry a firearm.....

Here's a timely tidbit of info for you .... http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20071024/...orter_arrested

I say we should be able to carry wherever and whenever we want. Wild West justice .... and a lot less "stupidity" crimes.

Why would anyone ever need to carry a gun?

Protection, detourance, plus it's a "right". Ask the dead kids on the WV campus that question, or any campus. Or better yet, ask their parents and loved ones.
