You probably have your answer there Stan.Make sure the drive is jumpered as master and that the drive is connected to the end of the ribbon 40 pin connector which should be connected to the primary IDE controller on the motherboard.If that does not work try to boot to a floppy and at a DOS prompt type SYS C: and if it tells you that system transferred after you hit enter than it should boot up for you.If that fails do a format C: from the command prompt and that will wipe the drive of everything.Ron G
