a friend of mine has a older chevy with the 6.5 its bone stock. he said it just quit running he said he put a new fuel filter in and changed the lift pump but the lift pump doesnt come on. any ideas? i dont know anything about the 6.5

 

Check the oil pressure sending unit on the rear of the engine driverside. These go out fairly often.
