Unfortunately, I was one of the retards paying for them. $75 and 10 min. later and burnt fingers. The only thing I can think about is what could have been put on the truck. But I do have a son that really enjoys it. But I will say here in SC we can get the really good explosive stuff. I have to say the artillary shells are our favorite. Have a happy safe 4th.

We spent about $20 so our 3 year old could enjoy smoke bombs, sparklers and few miscellaneous sparkling and popping fireworks. He enjoyed it and we still have some sparklers left over for tomorrow...which he'll probably enjoy while we're waiting for the big firework show to begin.

Can't get anything that leaves the ground, or explodes, here in Utah.

Kids are at their mom's,
I have to work,
so no point in wasting $$$ on things that just go sparkly.

yeah I'm one of the guys that lights that stuff (the reloadble shells) Kids are all like watch this, watch this, then BOOOM and they are all in awe. it's great to have the goodies. I agree everybody spends money some where, beer, vegas, this that, I spend some money on fun stuff on the 4th. Plus my gal takes very very good pictures of the shells bursting at night (how the heck she focuses and all I'll never know)

I'll be down at the Marina watching a 10 to 20 minutes fireworks show... But I have to say some of the best entertainment is going to the launch ramp and watching all the yuppies try and put their boats in the water...

It is a madd house of inexperienced boaters in the marina every 4th... launch ramp is one thing but the water is a nightmare!!!!

I hear you about the boat ramp. We usually put in at my buddy's private ramp and watch fireworks at the local yacht club, and when its over all hell breaks loose. One big drunken boat race for the public ramp 5 miles up the river. We should go up there after we pull out tonight, and watch the ruckus. There are usually collisions, fist fights, cops, the usual trailer & truck sinkings, jacknifed trailers, etc. Take a couple lawn chairs and sit in the back of the truck and watch, now that sounds like fun! Be even better if you could shoot bottle rockets into the middle of em, just to keep things exciting.

We have been doing this all week. It has to be the red burning sparklers and they seem to work better if they are the cheesey wooden stick ones. Tape as many boxes as wanted together but be sure to get them tight. The tighter the better and don't worry if some of the juju breaks off the sparkler just tape it in there and it will still work. tape it atleast twice with black electrical tape or something of the sort that u can get REALLY tight and then come back with a tape that doesn't stretch like clear packing tape and go twice. If done tightly 2 boxes can out blast 10 not done as tight. As he stated light and run away. 15-20 yrds is sufficient if there isn't any gravel or what not that can turn into schrapnel . While this is somewhat dangerous it is neat as heck so use your better judgement and leave atleast 2in. sticking out for the fuse sparkler. p.s. wrap down the stick about an inch and a half and right up to the edges of the main bundle but not over. don't bother looking for Red sparklers in Nocona though as they have all been bought up HAVE FUN AND BE SAFE

Hey, I represent that remark. I been buildin sparkler bombs since I was a whipper snapper and to this day have only lost a pickup truck bed mat to them. Oh, and half of a four wheeler, but it was in the pickup bed.

They always say, the best thing to watch is people at the boat ramp. The best part is when they know there being watched how of they get when they screw up. We have our boat at the shipyard and it's amazing, so funny to watch them all crash into one another. Then they get in, try to pull there boat out really fast, light the tires, throw rocks all over the boat and other boaters. A beer in one hand, and a tissue in the other for laughing so hard. If any of you haven't been to a boat launch, go, you'll be glad you did.

P.S. The best part is watching all the boaters come back in the dark. GPS is one thing but not at low tide, or when other boats are in your way., or when it's pitch black (radar is a big help)

Just got home from watching the fireworks show on the National Mall in Washington D.C.
That was a poor excuse for a "national" display. I've seen much better in backwoods Tennessee. Certainly not worth the headache of dealing with 400,000+ people.
