And the people hired to do all this walking and mailing are going to be what gets the unemployment numbers down. All praise the federal gov't.

Guess that's part of the job creation bunko that PeaBO is pushing.

Kinda like back in the depression ... dig holes on this side of the road and use the dirt to fill in the holes on the other side ..... second verse, same as the first ....

Cheers,

Don't let the cyclical event of the census take credit for creating those jobs... It was the almighty Barack Hussein Obama that created those jobs through his preaching and hoping.

On the news this morning they said it cost the taxpayers $85m for the census bureau to mail out the early warning letters.

How dare you Americans own land, that you have made a proffit from, have running water, flush toilet, tub or shower, stove or range, refrigerator, phone more than 2 cars, heat your home with those nasty fossil fuels. You need to share the wealth. Your standard of living needs to be brought down so everyone in the whole world is equal.

Just because you have worked hard to obtain these things means nothing. Its not FAIR, because some people don't want to be bothered with trying to better themselvs.

We know what is best for you. WE will provide you with a place to live, food, health care, jobs, transportation, We are smarter than you, let us take care of you. By the way did I mention its FREE.

Yours truly,
King of the world:

I see the dummies have left them on my neighbors' "weekend" cabins, but didn't go all the way back to my place.

The census form arrived today by mail so I have about 15 days before I'll know how many people live here. That should give me enough time to figure out exactly what I have to answer and what I can skip.

people handing them out personally is 'control group responses' or making sure they get one filled out correctly......my mom did this oh gosh- 40 years ago! then it made a difference.

now it makes more mandated, unfunded freeloading to very specific people/areas.

not to be rude, but I have a friend here for his physician's degree who is from Africa (botswana). the Census amazes him. He does not take kindly to this 'black- African American selection. America is the only country where you get rewarded for being black and lazy. Africans are happy to return to their homeland to improve the lives of their countrymen. these blacks who do nothing for themselves or their countrymen are not African in any way. Why do they check a list to continue this shameful practice?

I could not explain that. but I am very proud of him.

Got mine yesterday called the number on the back and basically asked the same question that Larry did. After about 15 min of not being able to answer my question, got a supervisor on the phone, she told me sir its only ten questions. I told her I’m not complaining about the size of the form I’m asking “by law what do I have to tell you” she hemmed and hawed so I asked do I have to tell you anything other than how many people live in my house. She finally answered by telling me no you only have to answer questions 1-4. I got her name so I’m loaded and ready .

Its not that I don’t trust my government, I don’t trust the people running my government

Last night, WFAA ran a news story about the census and a survey showing a significant number of people think it's OK to skip questions on the census. The whole point of the story was that it's a federal offense to leave any question on the census blank. So much for a trustworthy news source...
