Census is here

...and furthermore ... I'll tell them exactly what I want them to know about me.
That is crazy that they want you to answer honestly about things yet to come .... really put some thought into this thing, didn't they ??
Same people who authored the gov't run health plan, no doubt.

I should be on the lookout for ours. We got the letter yesterday that said in a week they'll be sending our census form. An excellent use of resources in sending me mail telling me to expect more mail. I wonder if they'll send a census worker by to tell me a census worker will be stopping by to ask why I didn't answer all of the questions on the form?
I'm trying to decide just how much trouble I'll get into by having a little fun with them....we just bought a house and are in the middle of moving so will get the dreaded form at both houses.....If I send them both back that outta confuse the heck outta those idiots...

Got ours, haven't opened it yet. I'm thinking of calling the regional call center to inquire as to the statute that makes me a criminal for not completely filling out the form, every year.
I received a warning letter that says I will be receiving a census in the mail in about a week. Next time I am expecting a notice letter to tell me the notice for the census will be sent to me within a week, just because its a waste of money. Just send me the stupid paper!
A woman Census Worker came by the house and personally dropped the questionairre off. She had a couple questions and I heard the wife talking to someone so I came out of the garage to see what was going on and when she saw me coming she simply said have a nice day and started back down the driveway. I asked the wife what she wanted and who she was. She said she was just starting to ask some questions but decided to leave when you came out. Weird deal if you ask me. Anyway, I looked it over and filled it out and sent it back. They wanted to know stuff they already know and didn't ask any questions about anything other than the people under the roof. No big deal for me. The whole deal kind of let me down because I was expecting to have to exercise my rights but to no avail. It's funny though I thought to have someone walk around out in the middle of tinbucktwo and deliver these by hand. Why not the mail? What does that cost us to pay these people to have to walk around and deliver these?

A lady dropped mine off the other day. Wondered why they couldn't use the mail, but I supposed this way they are able to record it was delivered personally. Mine is the basic form.
What I find odd even on the basic form is - if we are not supposed to discriminate against various arbitrary groups of people, why ask so many questions about them? Aren't we all supposed to be treated equal? If the government is spending money based on the number of a given group in a given area, isn't that in itself a form of discrimination?
