Scotty, when do they get tired of you and send you home?

Hope Bob shows up soon and with a good report. How about some of the other DTR members that went through Harvey and Irma let us how your experiences and how you are now.

I'm home!
Continuing antibiotics for another two wks.
My body has done surprisingly well at putting things in place during this ordeal.
The surgeon couldn't find anything resembling the sternal pectoral tendon. However, the lower part of my pectoral muscle has grown in very tightly with the upper portion. Great news!
I now have a fully intact clavicular pectoral tendon that as the doc said is very robust.

We caught this round of fluid pockets soon enough to have limited amounts of bacterial infection in the cultures.
The bone was not infected but there was a pocket of fluid coming from where the sternal tendon insertion was. If this had been left much longer it would've turned ominous.

After learning that most everything is now intact and talking with the surgeon and infection specialist, the concensus and agreement is this is as far as I'm going.

An allograft reconstruction could be a death wish.
What I have now is very similar to an allograft and its all my own body parts. I will work with what is there.
We've discussed limitations and there aren't many other than doing extremely heavy movements. I'm done with that and have been for a few years now.

Range of motion on day six are excellent.

13 of the 26 staples come out on Friday.
The remainders come out on Sunday.

Its time to close this chapter.

Thank you to all of you for support, well wishes and Prayers.

Scotty

I've delagated the rest of the details to the proper professional channels.

How are ya?
I think Bobby left town on a planned vacation and he prepped his place before he left.
Party at BobbyDependable's, he won't be able to tell if it was Hurricane Lary or Hurricane Irma that stopped by.
Well, I'm glad you didn't croak.

Howst are thine LEGGS today? Art though still using acid and steel wool on them?

But of course my dear Legger.
Nothing but the finest of steel wool and potency of acid for that just shredded and delightfully awesome visual glamor that has all eyes wide open.

I am adjusting the blends to achieve the finest of Fall colors. Blood red, Pounded to a Pulp purple and a few singes of Fireburst orange blisters.

Lary and Scotty, you guys are truly nuts!!!! On second thought, make that NUTS

Now that you two have been in the breakroom, no way am I going near the coffee, but will consider some eggs - provided that I can watch the eggs being broken and watch them being cooked. Somehow I do not trust you two to mess with everything.

Cooling back down between storms. Pretty soon our daytime highs will only be in the 40°s.
Price of diesel has jumped 30 cents a gallon in the last month.
Off for more therapy, still bruised from the last one.

First chance to stop by and catch up. Glad to see all the healing going on!

I worked night shift first couple days this week and then changed back to normal dayshift. Not sure I want to do that again very soon. It didn't use to bother me, but the guys said I turned into a cranky boss. Guess getting older has a few drawbacks.

The grill is getting lit in about an hour. Come on by and eat some stuff!
