Breakroom Jan 13 - 19, 2013, 3, 3

Wow, all y'all, quiet day in the breakroom. I have fed the dragon, setup the coffee and Phoo for the morning, there are cinnamon buns in the oven and I just threw two shovels of coke briquettes in the stove. The wick is down on the oil lamp, so all should be good until tomorrow.

Ok, time for Mexstan, Madhat, Slevhansen or one of you east coasters to start up a new breakrooom.

Oh well, if you insist. My Sunday is almost over and it is getting dark outside. Today in this part of the world the air pollution is the worst on record. http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/...90C01Q20130113 Although I am not in Beijing (much further north) we have the same or even worse.

Thanks to Sean I don't need to do too much to prepare anything. Switched on the afterburners under the coffee and Ph00 so everything is set to go for the early risers.

Lit a cracker under the dragon with a slow burning fuse and will be long gone by the time it goes off. Let us know who was in the breakroom when it went off. snicker, snicker.

Even tho it is a weekend, still got some work to do for the company to get ready for tomorrow (my Monday, your Sunday) so am going back to try to finish it off. Hope everybody here on DTR have a fantastic Sunday with no accidents (that includes diarrhea) or anything else that can go wrong.
Cheers, adios, ciau.

THERE.... I´m done wiping coffee off the wall and the floor THANKS Stan for the cracker, now I´m awake for sure

Thought I was going out, but now the cat just jumped on my lap, looking like it ain´t going nowhere, she has her nails out, and I´m not gonna argue with that..

Luckily there´s a window so I can look out at the nice weather, -5c this AM, and just a touch of snow to brighten things up, it doesn´t really get much better than this.

Have a nice Sunday everyone.

Luckily there´s a window so I can look out and see exactly where the cat will land when I heave it thru the window and it's back outside where it belongs..
I agree completely!

Well will ya lookit this, Stan actually DID something around here! Miracle of miracles! It's as rare as the two striped snow toad of central Alaska!

Mornin' to all you other people! It's Sunday, January 13th, 2013, the start of a brand new week, a new beginning, a chance to repent and make good your promise to be all that you can be!

On other January 13th's, this is what happened:
1794 - U.S. President Washington approved a measure adding two stars and two stripes to the American flag, following the admission of Vermont and Kentucky to the union.

1854 - Anthony Faas of Philadelphia, PA, patented the accordion.

1928 - Ernst F. W. Alexanderson gave the first public demonstration of television.

1942 - Henry Ford patented the plastic automobile, which allowed for a 30% decrease in car weight.

1957 - Wham-O began producing "Pluto Platters." This marked the true beginning of production of the flying disc.

1966 - Robert C. Weaver became the first black Cabinet member when he was appointed Secretary of Housing and Urban Development by U.S. President Johnson.

1982 - An Air Florida 737 crashed into the capital's 14th Street Bridge after takeoff and fell into the Potomac River. 78 people were killed.

1986 - "The Wall Street Journal" printed a real picture on its front page. The journal had not done this in nearly 10 years. The story was about artist, O. Winston Link and featured one of his works.

1989 - Bernhard H. Goetz was sentenced to one year in prison for possession of an unlicensed gun that he used to shoot four youths he claimed were about to rob him. He was freed the following September.

1990 - L. Douglas Wilder of Virginia, the nation's first elected black governor, took the oath of office in Richmond.

1992 - Japan apologized for forcing tens of thousands of Korean women to serve as sex slaves for Japanese soldiers during World War II.

2002 - U.S. President George W. Bush fainted after choking on a pretzel.

A thought for a Sunday: Since God is watching us, the least we can do is be entertaining.

The coffee's not bad, considering!

Actually, they are pretty common. They are just hard to see under 10 feet of snow.

You're wrong chaikwa, I don't throw cats, my GF came really close to once, she was taking a nap on the couch and the cat was taking a nap on her belly.
This went well for some time, but the cat sometimes turns in a splitsecond and starts to bite and scratch.
From my good chair, out the corner of my eye, I saw the cat hit the floor, GF using words I won't bring up here, and then the cat launched itself from the floor going for the neck of my GF, that day it was pure luck that she opened the door before throwing the cat out.

and I still smile thinking about it... is that bad?

Good luck Keith...it is funnier when It's over.

I probably should have stayed at the nursing Home and just stood over the Aeration tank. LOL Nobody will be able to say I'm full of it. Well at least for a day.

Lary, are we any closer to getting that janitors closet I asked for? I'm tired of doing this:
Er, you hate getting old(er). You've been old. That seems to be the reoccurring theme in your sleeping dilemma so I would hypothesize that less sleep may ease your achy, old joints.

Nice picture!

I think I'll be all set on both. Found a motor and the steel is roughly the same price. It's a tad cheaper at the place you sent me to, but not so much that it would warrant the transport of said material.

Got my hydraulic cylinder all cut down in preparation of the shortening process. 6" DOM tubing doesn't cut easily! Should have finished the kiln today, but we went from 50 degrees to 20 and snow/wind. Watchit Heidi, it's comin' your way!

Early to bed tonite, up at 0400 tomorrow. The annual EMT refresher shall begin!

That dustpan water diverter leads me to believe you can fabricate anything.

Hey! FiverBob is always talking about the lousy weather he is having (ohh Boo Hoo it got down to 65F) I just wanted to see what it was like.
I could get used to this.

Yeah, I was looking at the Kenai paper. A bunch of accidents. One inch of rain on top of solid ice can be interesting.
On a related note,,, I got water up my nose on the 120ft drop summit plummet water slide today. This is terrible weather
