"here's to swimmin with bow legged women"

That is BIG, I saw another pic yesterday but it had nothing around it for scale, the pic gave no clue as to how big it is.

Years ago, while working as a deckhand off the coast of Catalina, I had a great white swim no more than 8 feet away from me that was estimated at 18 feet. It was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. All kinds of scars all over it, but you knew that thing ruled the sea.

Oh - regarding the 8 feet - I was on a boat, not in the water. It grabbed a whole ganion of rock cod that a guy was bringing up at the time and swam away with it. This guy thought he'd try to hook/land it. Yeah right - one of the other deckhands just cut his line and let the thing go.

That was just an awesome sight, and something I'll never forget.

Thats awsome....i love sharks...i have a whole sleeve tat of them on my arm...i swim with them in FL and in the Bahamas...the coolest thing io ever saw was when i was spear fishing, i have a 12-14ft Tiger come out of a cave under me in about 30ft of water and start trailing the fish i had just shot out of the cave...most beautiful thing i had ever seen...

Swimming with an animal that has had 15 million years to hone it's killing tactics. I think not. This guy will just keep his behind in the boat or on the shore line.
