Coffee, OJ, and scrambles eggs with sausage and white cheddar mixed in. Yummy.
Starting out another rainy morning, hope it clears up so I can fix my steering gear.
Wife is about 85% now. Gets tired easy, but keeps plugging away.
Cat is as cat does.

Glad she is doing better. If she is up to 50% she can drive better than 99% of those idiots in Anchorage (I have almost recovered from my trip).
You will hear a lot less voices if you put the tin foil inside a baseball cap instead of over it.
Thats my only reason for flying too.
I didn't have the room but I did buy a bunch of stuff I didnt know I needed.
I love Costco. There is no place to buy five gallon tubs of mayonnaise or olive oil around here.

Afternoon DTR, been a while since i stopped in... still smells like wet cat stuffed in to an old gym sock.
The wife and I are doing good. I recently moved to a different dept at work. I was in the electric meter shop turning on and shutting off electric meters, made good money but I got tired of dealing with the public. I'm back working in the coal handling dept at one of the power plants the company operates. The plant I'm in has four generating units and produces almost 2000 MW.

Kids, today has been a day to ponder over. As I posted in last weeks thread I spent last night in Aurora, CO. When I looked we were only 10 minutes from the Cinema 16 so a morning trip to the scene was in order before we headed to North Platte. The best, short description of that visit is moving. I guess it was the LEO curiosity that got me there but it certainly wasn't what I felt before I left. I'll post pics later and try to explain better but I'm still processing the days events and I don't know if I understand what happened yet. I do know one thing, I traveled 1400+ miles to meet one person today. I'm not sure but I could have met the Lord himself this morning. I've never seen so much pain focused in the eyes of one individual in my entire life and all he wanted to know was why. I tried to walk away but it was like I was pushed to him by a force I couldn't see but without a doubt I felt. I'm still wondering why I got picked.
Next, I found out via our church prayer request line that a good friend of a good friend of mine may be losing his battle with cancer. I called my friend to pass along the info and found out his wife, whom I had seen a month ago while home, was released from the hospital this past Thursday to hospice care. After talking to Ron it sounds like Wednesday would be an optimistic prognosis. Once again cancer is the cause.
I'm going to sign off now. It's been a long day, 0430 is going to come early and I'm beat. My thoughts are starting to wonder and focus is about shot. I need a little time to meditate, pray and clear my head. Bob, I'm led to pray for strength for you. You do allot for others and I think you're due for a booster. I know you understand what I'm saying. Night folks.

Dang Rick, thats some serious stuff. Hope you get it figured out.
Meanwhile, not trying to be funny but you need a break from thinking.
These last years have been tough on ya but you just keep going.
People like you who actually care about people and things can be terrible about taking care of themselves.
Thinking some good thoughts for you and those who are sick.

MATT!! Good to see ya around again!
As I was reading T-Rad's post I was thinking of all kinds of things I was going to put in a reply to him. Bark pretty much said what I was thinking tho, so; ^^^what he said.^^^
MONDAY, AUGUST 13th:
1784 - The United States Legislature met for the final time in Annapolis, MD.
1846 - The American Flag was raised for the first time in Los Angeles, CA.
1889 - A patent for a coin-operated telephone was issued to William Gray.
1907 - The first taxicab started on the streets of New York City.
1912 - The first experimental radio license was issued to St. Joseph's College in Philadelphia, PA.
1932 - Adolf Hitler refused to take the post of vice-chancellor of Germany. He said he was going to hold out "for all or nothing."
1959 - In New York, ground was broken on the $320 million Verrazano Narrows Bridge.
1960 - "Echo I," a balloon satellite, allowed the first two-way telephone conversation by satellite to take place.
1961 - Berlin was divided by a barbed wire fence to halt the flight of refugees. Two days later work on the Berlin Wall began.
1990 - Iraq transferred $3-4 billion in bullion, currency, and other goods seized from Kuwait to Baghdad.
1994 - It was reported that aspirin not only helps reduce the risk of heart disease, but also helps prevent colon cancer.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Why do we press harder on a remote control when we know the batteries are weak?
Coffee's ready for your enjoyment!

I appreciate your concern and prayers - - it has definitely been discouraging to say the least. At least all my problems are just things that hurt, sometimes really bad. And they change your lifesyle and what you do or don't do. I am believing for some answers soon - - God is good.
For the rest of the gang, HI. Just got in from two docs and therapy. Good news and bad news - - - and shot that was horrible. Needle about ten feet long with a gallon jug on it for the cylinder. Wow that hurt. Thought it was coming out the other shoulder. Still whimpering over that one.
Don't see any comments about the Olympics closing program. I was completely turned off. Horrible. Maybe just me, but it seemed so trivial and trite - - no substance. And some of the participants were completely out of line. Yeh, I know - - - just getting too old. .......
OK, gone,
Bobby
