They were shutout something like 17 times this year, and 9 of them when Clemens makes a start. So I guess I would bet them to lose game one. [laugh]

Hey, if they lose, they lose. But at least they finally made it. Some of those guys have been with the club a long time and they deserve to be there.

Well, the Astro's deserved it. Sort of kicked the cards butt. I would have liked to see it go 7 but.... [whistle] [whistle] I hope they go all the way because they played a great series. [coffee]

DEREK, appreciate that. It seems to me the calls go both ways. The umps are human and I couldn't imagine instant replay ever coming to baseball. Next thing you know, they'd have lazer detectors for the strike zone and if it was a strike, it'd "SHOCK" the ump so he could call it. The Cardinals always seem to falter when it comes to post season play - at least the last couple of years [rant] . The Astro's never gave up and played well whereas our bats were left in the dugout (except for Pulos in Game 5 - what a hit :) ) Both teams kept their respect for each other which is refreshing these days ;) . They do have a battle in front of themselves because I don't think the White Sox are going to lay over for anyone. Should be a good series :rolleyes:
