Arizona trip
 

In May my wife , 4 year old, and me are making a trip to see the in laws. I have to drive the minivan. (more room) Any way, what is there to see and do in south east Arizona (Duncan) Any ideas will be appreciated.

Not to sure about the south east and exactly where Duncan is located but it shouldn't be very far from Tombstone. If you even "remotely" enjoy stories about the old west you will have a good time.

I'm not sure where exactly you are going in SE Arizona, but I've been doing some research (on the net) for a winter retirement spot. You might start at this website. It will give you links to many places of interest in that part of the state. If you would like more, just PM me.

Thanks for the info. I think the nearest town of any size is Safford. I do like the inlaws, but I am not sure if I can make a whole week. Also will visit my nephew in Alamogordo New Mexico (air force)

I agree with Ram04, Tombstone is a good trip. Also think about Bisbee, I think they still give tours of the old Copper Queen mine there.

If you're that close to Tombstone you HAVE to go the Kartchner Caverns!!

Gas up before you hit Arizona from what I've been reading their prices are almost as high as ours in Kalifornia. It will be total sticker shock to ya'all from Texas. My wife has two daughter still in Texas and they complain about paying 1.60 a gallon for gas. That's less than what we started at this year now around 2.17gallon for regular and 2.21 for diesel.
