It is a nice cool [-5F] morning here in VT, but the sun is shining.
Have a nice warm apple fritter with your coffee or tea. I found a pack of the asphalt flavored teas for you Lary!
I am off to do some snowboard racing today with my friends after I stoke the stove.

Stay safe, Ollie, as I hear that there are trees that jump out in front of folks sliding down hills in winter. Please, no Sonny Bono's today.

Still can't eat anything other than yogurt. Still feeling like dead cats. Day 4 of this is getting old. No fritters for me, although they smell good.

Speaking of getting old and dead cats, I woke up today to a dead cat lying on,the floor next to me. Wife inherited moms cats when she died, and on Saturday, we finally fot them home here. The morbidly obese cat gave up the ghost, and funeral services are later today, if you get back early enough. Coffee and tea served afterwards.

RIP Mr. Tiggie:( Give my mother in law a good scratch when you catch up with her.

Back out to the shop I am rebuilding a old drill press that needs a little TLC...amazing how some people just do not understand simple maintenance on their tools.

Morning - - - put some coffee and ph00 and brought assorted pastries and breakfast finger goodies. Dive in, enjoy. Sorry been so absent - - pretty hectic around here. Wife still with her sis who is now going thru some very wild swings in her condition. Sleeps 36 hours, not even piddle, then stays awake most of the night and day for 24 hours and eats lightly. Increased med probably causing some of that.

Off to try and get something done in between the running errands. Son and DIL are here for the week. Really took some stress off the wife so she could catch up on book work, banking, pay bills, then relax a bit, then back to her sis.

Feel 1/2 human again. Coughing during the night makes it so much worse, but functional during the day is okay.

Will try a fritter today, but only if it's Asphalt flavored. Seems as though Lary got the jump on us the other day.

The accountant's payday today, where I spend lots of money for him to tell me I have no money.:(


Nice 60*f today. Winter is over here, but they make believe some big storm is heading our way. I ain't counting chickens yet, and I'm not in jail yet either.[redface]

It warmed up enough yesterday [40F and sunny] for the sap to start running, which makes all the maple syrup people excited.
This morning is -5F again. The driveway is rock solid ice. It is a good day to take the family and the team of dogs out for a walk in the woods as the snow pack will have a thick crust to walk on.
The ski mountain is full of the President's week crowd and will be avoided at all costs. Maybe I can do a little more work on my '78 RC today in the shop.

Coffee and tea water is out. I will let someone else bring something to eat in...Until then I will just have one of the doughnuts Lary left yesterday.
