I'd like to know who else on this sight gets shafted and has to work on the funnest holiday of the year in my opinion. I cant be the only one with these God forsaken hours.

 

Off from the paying job, but that doesn't get me out of farm work. Got to to unload 2nd cut alfalfa in a little bit. After that I'm putting a '95 12v back together, adjust the timing, check the valves, etc...

Almost forgot, have to finish the neighbors '72 Volkswagen Beetle too.

 

Well, been on the clock since 2200 last evening and am due to get off...NOW!..but the day shift guys called in sick( gee wonder??).. so Iam here for another couple hours at least.. then I got to go home feed stock, clean pens, got a 2 yr old mare in training who is getting her first ride today, adn got to get some ads out for the truck I am selling.. and got to get teh yard mowed and I want ot get at least another section of fence set...then I'm going to a party...

 

I'm getting ready to go to work in about 5 min. I don't feel like I'm getting the shaft though. My job has a lot to do with this holiday. I'm a military man. USAF baby!!!

Getting ready to go to work now. I only have to work 8 to 4. 2 guys out of 5 of us are on vacation so the work load is a little higher right now. Thats ok I get double time and a half for today.

 

Im heading in too. Yay!

 

I volunteered to start the town festivities by putting out all the american flags on main street this morning on my one day off...Why did I have to open my big mouth... Happy 4th of July Everyone!

 

Nice to know I'm not the only one. I've been at work since 7pm last nite get off at 8am this morning, Then I get to come back in tonite and wont get off till 9-9:30 tommorrow morn. And I dont get any holiday pay. They say that its added into your salary, which is a load of BULL if you ask me.

 

Yep, got to go into work this morning in an hour at 9, and get off at 7 tonight. However, I might get off at 6, depending on how busy the store is. And no extra pay either, full-timers get 8 hours of personal time, us part timers get the shaft

 

got to work 30 minutes ago and get off at 5:30. Atleast there was nobody on the road on my way into work.

 

go load at 9:30. deliver tomorrow.

 

8 am - 4 pm, it sure is quiet in here, though, I think I dozed off for a while, but they're not giving me holiday pay, so I didn't feel too badly about that.

 

I'm getting paid for another 4 hrs. I got to sleep-in today, the first time in a longtime but I back at work again tomorrow. A couple guys I work with went in today at double time and a half.

 

well im drinking some cold beer for all you guys that have to work today. i have to be at work at 0700 in the morning for 24 so hopefully i take it easy today...
