Hell yeah, they're actually eating the sand off the beach right now. Looks like you all had a great morning. We've been fishing off the marsh, catching a bunch between 26 and 32 inches, and a couple at 42 and 44 inches. Been a good year for them. The red drum run is next, mid to late May.
It's almost hard not to catch them around here, at certain times of the year. If you feel like crossing the bridge into God's country
you can go with us. Plenty of rock, drum, croakers, and flounder for the next 6 weeks or so. Once it gets hot it kind of slows down a little, gets good again in Sept/October. We mainly fish off marsh islands, just sit in lawn chairs and drink beer and put out about 4 surf rods apiece. Sometimes it gets so busy you don't even have time to drink your beer. Especially when the red drum bite is on, and there's a bunch of stingrays mixed in. That's some work, right there.
