Any antique tractor collectors?
 

Just wandering if there are any tractor collectors here. Post what ya got! I have a '46 Deere Model BW that I'm working on right now.

I've managed to collect a '62 Massy that I can't get the head off of. :rolleyes:

The only antique tractor I have is the one I use every day, an old 165 Massey diesel. 1968 era, but I like to think of it as a my new model. It was a step up from my John Deere Peddle tractor.

guy that lives down the road collects and rebiulds old Deeres. hes got over 25 of em. Pritty neat stuff.

1963 Ford 2000 Select-O-Speed
270 Leyland

If I ever had the time to get them both right I would have most chores covered. The 270 Leyland has a 4/98NT normally-aspirated diesel that is the tractor equivalent to the Cummins - back in the 70s the local dealer told us to get the irrigation system under pressure then open the 270 wide open and back off 50 rpm and if it ever blew he would replace the motor for free. We ran them just like that for many hours pumping water to the tobacco - we even fueled them under power. Kinda sold me on using the proper diesel for the job, hence the CTD.

I keep my eyes out for deals on tractors but really don't have a need for what I have, much less any additions. But then, one can never have enough tractors.

9N with an 8N engine, therefore dubbed Franken9. I bought it to run a bush hog on our little 40 acre plot. Of course, now I need to get a bush hog for that little plan to work. [laugh]

Edit: No, that tractor is not tied to the trailer with a strap :o , even though it looks like it. [laugh] That's the extra 15 feet of the ratcheting strap that's tied to avoid flapping around in the breeze.

ds1rider is that model JD like the Old "Popen Johny" I first heard one when I was about 10 years old and loved it, i don't curently have any old tractors but I do have a cx105 McCormick, 4x4, cab, and two 15 foot bush hogg mowers. Love your tractor, cant wait untill i have the time and money to restore one.

I have a '54 Farmall super a. I use it around the house to plow snow and haul wood. I'd like to clean it up a bit if I ever get the time.

Why yes it it. Thanks for the comments. The 2 cylinders sound like nothing else. Didnt know what to think the first time I heard one. Its stripped down now getting ready for a little body work and paint :)

Oh, and you dont need much time or money to fix one up. Sure you can do a museum job on a rare one, but they are still relatively cheap :)

I have been known to dable in the antique tractor hobby. I will try to get some pics for you guys.
