Hey. New here. Just got my O6 Mega Cab 2500 Cummins 2wd Laramie last week, and already I feel like I am a diesel fanatic. I can not get over how much snap my automatic has off the line, it really feels quicker than the hemi I test drove-is this my imagination? At any rate, I love this web site, and I am glad to be here. What should be the first performance modification I should make to my baby, keeping warranty limitations in mind? Any info would be really appreciated. Once again , great site. Thanks. J.R. .

 

negative. the cummins only had 20 less horsepower and about 250 more ft-lbs. these ctd's are peppy

hello, and first off WELCOME TO DTR, you're gonna love it here, and congrats on the new truck as well, it sounds like a nice rig.
around here, before we start the bombing process (adding mods) we all recommend a fuel pressure guage. this is a critical step to keeping your new baby running but after that...the sky's the limit.
i don't have a 3rd generation but i know that some of these other folks will chime in and let you know what bombs you can get and slap on your truck to make you go

...and i suppose i should practice what i preach about the fuel pressure guage huh?...

 

oh and be sure to fill out your signature so we can see what your truck is at a glance.
