Another blow to the economy

More excuse to gouge the public on fuel. You wonder what kind of brain fart our Government has, they sit there and wonder why the economy is not moving forward, Lets just sum it up. If you keep taxing taxes on taxes increasing cost on the basics ( fuel food insurance hydro etc ) and wages do not increase our so called disposable income disappears just to pay the basics ...............Fuel now $5.55 @ gal and next year the TELL us it's going up to $6.62 why not just make it a even TEN BUCKS. I thing every trucking company out there should DOUBLE the rate on every Government shipment to re cope some of their lost and pass some fuel savings back to the O/Operators and themselves [duhhh][dummy][nonono]

Unfortunately, all of us that get it in the guts can't do anything about it when the gov't owns all the votes of those who expect handouts, including the gov't workers themselves....

we've been paying 5.55 and more since 08 up here. while I don't like it, it is a cost of doing business.

what bugs me about these things, is all the whining and crying that goes on. because, the ones who complain the loudest won't do a thing to change it. I'm talking if you can't beat them, join them. enough like minded people can change things by their actions. put yourself out to be an elected rep of the people, and start making positive changes. til then... all the best

Im just waiting for November down here to see if any of my crowd mans up and gets to the polls. I'm sick of hearing that "why vote, it doesn't count" attitude down here...Funny thing is the loudest bitching comes out of their mouths.

Good luck up there,,,

Yes everyone should vote, but the best way to get their attention is to spoil a ballat could you imagin hundreds of thousand spoiled ballats it would show someone out there how ****** we are!!!

What really gets me is gas and diesel are among the TOP EXPORTS of the US! Why not gouge the countries that are buying our fuel and give us a break [verymad][verymad][verymad]

Other countries do it to us!

You guys are energy independent. A thoughtful government would cut you a break.

Reason why our ***"""" Government sold out our resources to foreign ownership

Cheap fuel and a growing economy don't fit with the current administration's agenda here.

Fiftygrit 06-23-2014 10:04 AM

Diesel up here at the pumps is $1.50 a liter thats $6.75 for a Canadian gallon and $5.70 for an American gallon, when I pay $3.75 to $4.25 a gallon in Arizona all winter it just doesnt seem so bad, I have always told my kids if you dont vote you cant complain, our fuel prices will never go down no matter who is in power, cheers

My biggest complaint is the talk of raising fuel taxes here in the US.

A lot of folks don't realize Congress hasn't kept their hands out of that cookie jar, and used the money for other things versus using it for the roads.

On top of that, the oil companies are still making huge profits (93 billion USD for 2013 was the last figure I saw) so I don't see why we're spending so much at the pump.
