alternative farming methods?

Someone tried to plant the tractor , instead of seeds.

Cat to the rescue?

No luck with the cat , need something bigger...

The winch truck was just pulling itself back into the hole , so we had to brace it with the cat

I pulled into a farm when I saw a big dozer D-8 stuck in a stock tank that was being dug. Attached to it and stuck was a D-6, attached to it and stuck was a 4X4 Masey, attached to it and stuck was a 80 HP Masey, attached to it and stuck was a 4X4 truck. When I went up to the house and barn to drop off the bushhog I had brought I asked what happened. I was told a hand was digging the tank when it began to rain...thus getting everything stuck.....I began pulling them out one by one with the rig I was driving. Thankfully it had not rained that week.

It is truely amazing if you got out with no damage to the drawbar and driveline on that MoCo. Thankfully we haven't gotten anything stuck that bad before, for us getting stuck consits of pulling it out with our Cummins RePowered AC 8070.

Did he drive off in the edge of a pond or something, in the first picture it looks like a low spot of some sort.

There is a ditch along the edge of the field , what caused the problem , is that exact spot was where the hole was dug for the directional drill. There is a 16" natural gas pipeline under that tractor , 39" down to be exact, that's why we could not dig the tractor out. When the hole from the directional drill was filled in , it never got compacted , and the last month of rain , coupled with that nearby ditch , made that 20x20' area really soft.

This one needed a bump. Old JKM hasn't been embarrassed enough yet.
