Air Horn

I want to get my 19 year old son an air horn for his Dakota truck. I got one for my Ram 10 years ago and we really like it. It has a compressor with about a one gallon air tank and dual Grover air horns.

So I am looking for a kit that includes the tank.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I think I purchased mine from a company that was named Rickson Truck Parts or something like that. But I am having a tough time finding anything. I would like to not go over $200.

Thanks,
Bobby

There was an air horn kit on the Geno's Garage catalogue that came with my order last week. I will see if I can find the catalogue but go check out their website.

There are several kits on ebay for <$200 that include the compressor.
Search for air horn kit.

I went to Amazon, and there are quite a few of them that are kits, but what I really like is the 5 liter compressor / tank unit which I can frame mount under my truck, so that if I ever get a slow leak in my tire, with the use of some standard air line parts, can be connected to an air hose and fill the tire enough to get where I need to go.

Seems like a good feature to have on our trucks.

Would you have to do something to stop the lines freezing up from condensation during the winter?

A few ounces of isopropanol in the air tank will take care of that.

This.

I have a K3LA with an 8.5 gallon tank and a manual valve for the horn and an electric valve to drain the tank of water, and sourced most of my parts from HornBlasters. The K3LA was bought from one of their forum members in Florida, and has worked like a champ.

I've even installed an engine driven compressor and tied it into my air bags ..... I love that thing
