anyone ever built one of these trannys? if so what didi you do and where did you get your parts?

I plan on building mine and need to know what the limits are and even if its worth building?

I've bought parts from this outfit before for my 47RH, but I don't think they have alot of parts for the A500. I don't know if it was suggested, wouldn't it be better to put a gas A518 behind a hopped up 318.

od unit in 500 is same basic unit as larger trans. mix and match for your horsepower. 904 parts can be used in front part of trans. my son has been running a 904 behind a .040 over 340 for over 70 k with no problems. there are some differences but most parts will interchange

 

TCI makes a complete kit that comes with gaskets, seals, clutches, steels, forward bands, adjustable modulator, high volume filter and Trans-Scat valve body modifications, and a drain plug kit for about $268. do yall think that is a reasonable price? i can get it built at Brutal Off ROad pipecreek so that wont be a problem.

the must be talking about the Pro Super Kit in gerneral than but thanks for the input. i had no idea. just trying to get my dakota on the road.
