>>> 7/16 bore pulley WHERE CAN I FIND <<<
I am in need of a drive-pulley, anywhere between 3- and 4-inches O.D., keyed, with a 7/16" bore.
I have searched and searched, to no avail. I have already tried one of those two-part wedge-bushing pulleys, even done a bunch of machine-alteration, in an attempt to make it work, but that failed. There just isn't enough shaft length, nor clearance, to accomodate the two-piece pulley. I know someone made at least one 7/16-bore pulley, because the old one that finally failed was that size; however, I have had no success thus far finding another. Thanks for a point in the right direction. :) |
Only other alternative that comes to mind is using a 5/8" ID pulley and use (have made?) a bushing the make up the difference. I have a drill press with a similar setup, the bushing is cut to accommodate the key.
What size belt are you using? |

What size belt are you using? I am using an "A" belt, but the crank-shaft pulley is capable of either "A" or "B" The take-apart linked belt that I am currently running is an "A" This is on a belt-driven hydraulic-pump that operates a front-end loader. :) |

What the matter with using a pulley with a smaller bore and have the bore bored out and rekeyed?
Grainger has similar pulleys, but for 4L or A belts with 3/8" bore. If none of those will work, a bushing or a custom made pulley is about all that will work. |
i don't if you have a place called kaman bearing or not but if you do take the pulley you have to them they should be able to match it and if you don't you can google kaman bearing and supply and get a phone number and talk to somebody about getting you a pulley.
kaman deals in lots of different stuff not just bearings |
