Is the 6.7 considered a "Bluetec" engine? The E-bay ad says so, but I don't see that nomenclature on the Dodge website.

From the ad:
This is a BRAND NEW 2007 3500 Dually with the all new BLUETEC Ultra-Clean Diesel System that Includes High Capacity EGR, Diesel
Apparently another "expert" that doesn't know what he's selling.........

Self-EDIT: 19 MAR 2007
Misspelling Bluetec as Bluetech leads to incomplete/incorrect searches.

He's advertising it as a "Bluetech" Diesel.
Last time I checked, ONLY Mercedes makes the Bluetech diesel, not Cummns.
That's what I thought. People need to make sure they know what they're selling before they sell it.

Wow . . .that's a lot of "stuff" on that motor . . . not as bad as the 6.4 PS, but much more than the 5.9.

I thought I read a press realease that claimed most major manufactureres had all agreed to start calling all the new generation diesels Blue Tech. It was suposed to be something the average consumer could instantly recognize as a newer cleaner version of the engines regardless of what brand it was in. Something along the line of Hybrid only for the new clean burning diesel engines. If that is the case Mercedies has nothing to sell Crysler, and it may very well be labeled as a Blue Tech. Like I said I am not sure of this but I thought thats what I read somewhere. Blue Tech will be used as a genaric term iregardless of brand or engine, so long as its one of hte new clean diesels.

OK I typed all the above before I went and looked at the link provided. Looks to me like you need to rethink your above staments abought who knows what. And posobly send and apologie email to the guy. Looks like I wasent dreaming all that up after all.
