Read about it on one of the other sites.....yep, it's the rear main. Even those with no other problems are complaining about it. Most of 'em say that it leaks just enough to wet the bottom of the bell housing... :-[

OH, I dunno - ya gotta sorta put it into perspective - if all that rear main leak amounts to is a small seepage, it's probably no worse than lotsa Cummins owners get from the weird oil breather tube/bottle WE put up with...

It's the OTHER, more serious Ford stuff *I* would be concerned about!

My wife wants a truck after she drove my cummins for a month. We test drove all the trucks and she liked the ford. I must convince her to go with the cummins. I need suggestions on why she needs a cummins.

IF it's a Ford *diesel* she thinks she wants, just steer her to one of the MANY "horror story" Ford threads on the new 6.0's - if THAT doesn't do it, simply tell her if she INSISTS on one of them, she's on her own when it breaks down (usually on the way home from the Ford dealership!) ;D ;D ;D

Exactly the reason I didn't buy one. Last thing I need is my truck into the service all the time. Ford sucks at giving dealer support also.

Re:6.0 accessory
She just wants the full crew cab with short box. I wont buy another gas motor so I am stuck with a diesel. I will work the issue with my wife. She makes more money so she usually gets what she wants.
