2010 ram spoted

The town I live by is right off the interstate, and is used as a hub for testing new vehicles. Almost once a week I see a new vehicle (sometimes with camo, sometimes not) with Michigan manufacture plates. Tonight I got to see the 2010 ram. We talked to the lady, it still has the 6.7. Figured you might want pictures! The lady already has 40K miles on it(or so she said) and was averaging 15.9mpg.

Although similar in styling, the big difference between the Ram and Ford front ends is that the Ford usually has a tow truck attached to it.

Seems kind of pointless to be testing it without a trailer/load of some kind.

I they have like 8 0r 9 or these in fargo, I believe some are 4500 and 5500 because they have service beds and longer flat beds on them. Two of them also had plows mounted on the front. They took the camo off this week, I see aleast one or two a day. So of the dually's have just Usdot number on the side, no plates also.

I was on my way home last week, heading West on I-70, Saw two of these new trucks in a convoy. One was a 3/4 or 1 ton crewcab, and the other must have been a 4500 or 5500 with a service body. I thought they were fords at first but it was dark, and couldnt take a pic. What was interesting thought was that they had what looked like some kind of Company Name stickers on the door panels.

It looks like a Toyota front end to me. Are they going to make the crew cab with the 8ft bed?

If you go to this link...you will see that there will be a Mega Cab long bed.
I posted that information below the link.

http://special-reports.pickuptrucks....y-pickups.html

Like last year’s heavy-duty Ram, 2010 buyers will have three cab options, but the middle configuration has been changed. A two-door regular cab model remains, while a new four-door Crew Cab, with bigger back doors and more rear passenger space, replaces the previous, smaller four-door Quad Cab. A new 8-foot cargo box option (a 6-foot, 4-inch bed is standard) should make the Crew Cab Ram HD an attractive choice for fifth-wheel towers.

“The Crew Cab has replaced the Quad Cab in the lineup,” Kunselman said. “It gets an 8-foot box -- a key part of the market we weren’t participating in.”

Though Dodge eliminated the Mega Cab option for its half-ton Ram, it’s keeping the Mega Cab heavy-duty model with best-in-class interior space.

I still dont see the Ford look to them. I saw one in person at the auto show and it was nice. Only resemblance to anything I saw was straight on from the front has almost an 08 hd Chevy look. Check out the '2010 ram hd will be different' thread under general diesel for the pics I took.
