2.5" exhaust is a little raspy
saw a clean 3rd gen dualy w/ a 2.5" tailpipe... it was straight piped, and it was making some serious racket! yes, it was a Cummins, yes, it sounded like crap, yes, it was begging for some exhaust flow!
that is all |
That is like seeing a 4 wheel drive truck lowered. CRAZY[yuk]

I was baffled... I heard it drive by and it was makin' some NOISE!!! straight piped...
got up behind it and saw the pea-shooter tailpipe and thought "is that a gasser?!" but it sounded like a Cummins... got closer, it was definately a diesel... I thought it was a 3" pipe at first till I saw it next to a stock Ford Explorer w/ the same size tailpipe [dummy] |
Wow. My dump runs through a 3" which still doesn't do anything but make a different place for smoke and some noise.

2.5 inch pipe!?? He should just go get a cork and plug it the rest of the way!! [laugh] [laugh]

What was he thinking? My gasser is 3" ID from the factory. There's a dually Cummins around here with dual 3" straight out the back that sounds pretty good. A single 3" even sounds good with the Cummins. But that's about small enough...
