1953 john deere 430...BOOM
ok. my father in laws tractor lost one of it's two pistons saturday. looks like our options are to bore it out and sleeve the one cylinder or find a used 2cylinder block... anyone know a good source for a 2 cylinder block? how about the cylinder kit? any other reccomendation are also appreciated! thanks a bunch in advance.

Here are several places to try: Dennis Polk Equipment in New Paris, Indiana -telephone # is 800-795-3501. 2-Cylinder Plus is located in Conway Missouri, and their # is 417-589-3337. Parts4Tractors number is 256-287-9960 and is located in Huntsville, Alabama. The parts are still out there, just getting a little harder to find. I had to put a new transmission shaft in my 1953 Model 40 and we actually found a new one! Also, if you have the time and money you might look at Green Magazine. It is a very good hobbiest magazine.
