Phone calls started last Friday (the 6th). "This is to alert you of possible mobilization for deployment to Iraq." Gonna affect about 2/3 of the shop. Haven't got my call yet, but being the only fully qualified 94A in the state, it can go either way. "I ain't going and I ain't gonna like it when I get there."
25 degrees this morning. Go out in a bit and see how much damage we got. Fruit trees look good. Ground plants are gonna take a beating.

wow i cant believe i actually got on this thread when it was still 1 page.

just got done with breakfast, some cinnimon and sugar coffee cake.

not going to church today, me and my mom not feeling well.

its cold here wtih white stuff still hanging around.

 

GOOD MORNING!! snow is about three inches on the ground, 19 degrees and I am having a hot coffee with cinnamon and apple oatmeal ahhhhh!

Good to see ya SR and you can follow the underground railroad to my compound if need be. family can come too, 60 acres of orchard, have to till the veggie garden when the soil thaws out. hammer and chisel and you can plant potatoes......

finished off an email to the JANITOR so he outta be 'chirpy' today, little tired from squattin' and pretending to lay em though... really Scotty, no need to go through all that just to cover up the farts...one month, you can blame the dog.

I am blessed with a house of college boys, one by one getting themselves there own breakfast and moving slowly- big bonfire last night. they bring me their cell phones so i can see the pictures of someone's new girl or fun group pics.....remember when we just told stories?

ok, off to do mostly nuttin' for the record CHAIKWA's black lab pup is doing very well and learning to be a Siberian.....

Still snowin' and cold here this AM. More like Christmas than Easter, but who cares. There's still so much to be thankful for that the weather doesn't seem worth complainin' about... not that THAT will stop me tho!

Did the coffee get to everyone yesterday? Or was everyone just lazy, um, I mean, BUSY?. Seems lke there weren't much activity after the AM rush! My coffee even hardened up before it got used up!

Looks like the plane deal is back on. NY guy lowered his price to get my attention. He cleaned all the gunk out of the fuel tanks and this time will deliver the plane to me at his cost!

Eggs colored and hidden, kidletts up and excited. Wife still zzzzzzzing. Long night last night to earlly this morning. School work, I help her with some of it, but she is still has passing grades.
Any of that breakfast left? Yum. SR, don't know if I clipped the title, or when my computer locked up and I ended up with 2 threads started it or fat finger me, clipped the ending date.
Now they are going to keep you guessing in if your going to be deployed.
Wannabe,great pix the Huskey looks like it is guarding the Lab. Sun over the water` wow wow wow. You should take Geico up on flying out to visit. Put the puppy on your lap, and make a stop on the way to see Chaikwa. What a fun trip that would be.

Being the only one may have its advantages. We still have the southwest border security mission thru June 08. The Border Patrol isn't going to give the equipment up without a fight, unless they can get something that can "see" beyond 22 klicks. I've also got the mission of training those that will be operating the equipment and maintaining that equipment. Adding that to what all I have to do now may very well place me in one of those "mission essential" positions. All I can do is take it one day at a time and be prepared for what ever happens.
Warming up outside so I guess I'll get outside and start hanging metal for the "Chicken Condo". Maybe I'll fall off the roof and break a leg, right.
