***BREAKROOM 8/9 to 8/15***
And the laziness goes to new levels! Ok, here's your new breakroom. Here's your coffee. Here's your tea, sweet tea and ph00. Can I get you anything else?
Hot here this morning. 80 degrees at 0600. Muggy too with the dewpoints in t he 70's. Nice to finally feel summer even tho it'll be over tomorrow.
Today is Sunday, August 9th.
On this day in 1678 - American Indians sold the Bronx to Jonas Bronck for 400 beads.
1790 - The Columbia returned to Boston Harbor after a three-year voyage. It was the first ship to carry the American flag around the world.
1831 - The first steam locomotive began its first trip between Schenectady and Albany, NY.
1945 - The U.S. dropped an atomic bomb on Nagasaki. The bombing came three days after the bombing of Hiroshima. About 74,000 people were killed. Japan surrendered August 14.
1945 - The first network television broadcast occurred in Washington, DC. The program announced the bombing of Nagasaki, Japan.
1956 - The first statewide, state-supported educational television network went on the air in Alabama.
I'd like to make a sarcastic remark about Alabama and education, but I keep thinking about Rick and realize it might not be a laughing matter.

It's my pot and I'll stir it if I want to. If you're not careful, I'll stir your's as well!
Good morning folks from Paradise. Boy, what gives today? Chaikwa is right, the laziness is up at new levels. I have been up for hours and could have started this thread, but left it up to the usual 'folks' that hang on at this site. Thanks for the coffee.
Bit of a cloudy day here today. That's OK as the last couple of weeks have been almost cloudless with brilliant blue skies. On my third cup of coffee already. Wife is away at a wedding south of Mexico City. Was supposed to be there too, but managed to wriggle out of it. Hate weddings, especially the Mexican weddings. Down here, once the music starts, forget conversation. The musicians appear to believe that quantity (extra loud) music makes for quality.
Here's to the rest of you lazy lugs.

Good morning all
Thought I’d stop in this morning, don’t know about this on a regular basis though.
The donuts are stale and the coffee taste ruff (better words to describe it but this is a family site) but what do you expect from janitor coffee.
Still sitting around with my foot up had foot surgery going on two weeks ago. I go see the vet on Wednesday hopefully he will let me start taking a step or two.

Walked right past the place again. "Breakroom"? No fancy title. No Sheepherders Lounge of Love? Laziness, yes. Heck, I've got to go back and bring my coolers from the Tiki joint. Good thing the other one's not locked! DEW! Going to 3 digits today + humidity. Got my swimtrunks on to go cut some of the yard.
See ya'll from ER....dehyd.....

Long time no see y'all.
Been down south playing "contractor". What the heck, the extra money is real nice. Put over 3000 miles on the scooter. Too long to do it all in a day, once was enough. Got my "iron hiney" certificate already. Good trip and the weather cooperated most of the time.
I see things haven't changed much. Scott is still his bottomless well of knowledge and everyone is picking on whoever ain't on line.

Mornin' All!
56* and raining. Perfect. The Fair is in town. We've had more rain in the last 3 days than we've had all summer. That's not a complaint.
Mad- I'm sure you'll be back. There's no way this is the worst place you've hung out.
Made a few bucks last night. Fellow Officer couldn't get the shocks off the front of his 3rd gen. He paid well. I may pick-up some beer on the way home tonight.
