What oil filter do you use?

What oil filter do you use? Do you have a bypass?

If you use more than one kind, list your preffered filter.

Trying to see what's the most common.

If you use a Stratpore LF3894 just select the LF16035. If you use a Hastings LF608 just select Baldwin BT7349.

Here is the data I have on the filters listed.

Donaldson P558615 40 @ 98.7%, 20 @ 50% Cellulose
Fleetguard LF3972 30 @ 95% (35 @ 98.7% last info) Cellulose
Wix 57620 30 @ 95%, 20 @ 50% Cellulose
Wix 57620XE 25 @ 95%, 14 @ 50% Glass Enhanced Cellulose
Baldwin BT7349 30 @ 98.7%, 12 @ 50% Synthetic blend
Fleetguard LF16035 30 @ 100% (25 @ 98.7% last info) Stratapore Synthetic
Purolator L45335 20 @ 97.5% Cellulose
Purolator PL45335 20 @ 99.9% Synthetic
Amsoil EaO80 20 @ 100%, 15@ 98.7%, 7 @ 59.97% Nanofiber Synthetic
Donaldson Elf7349 20 @ 100%, 15@ 98.7%, 7 @ 59.97% Nanofiber Synthetic
Mobil 1 M1403 10 @ 50% Synthetic blend

I just use the OEM. Get them at the dealer most of the time.

Fleetguard LF3894 Stratapore

Is the Amsoil EaO80 and Donaldson Elf7349 the same filter? They are outstanding compared to the others you have listed.

Switched to Amsoil oil filter as I get a lot of extra removed form the oil for the extra $5.00 it cost over the Fleetguard Stratapore. When it comes to fuel filters I only use Baldwin PF7977. As for the Mopar oil filter don't like the idea of using a 30-35 micron (last I heard) nominal rated oil filter but then it is better then a Fram but not by much IMHO.

I guess I should have said I use the LF3894 Stratapore on my 12v...technically, it's a 72516556 AGCO part, but it's made by Fleetguard

The numbers tell you how efficient a filter is. Like the OEM filter is rated to remove 95% of all particles 30 um and larger in the oil. Where the Amsoil is rated to remove 100% of all particles 20um and larger, and 98.7% of all particles larger than 15um. The more, finer particles you remove the less contaminate wear the motor gets.

Baldwin...5.60 a pop...but I have found Donaldson ELF for like 12.90 a whack online so I might try them next time. I do an Amsoil bypass too.
