which one which one
considering on putting a lift on my truck in my sig
what are the pros and cons of a 4 inch compared to a 6 inch lift? I would think 35" tires would be big enough should it? maybe pics to give me some ideas? and I should be fine with me 4:10 gears and the NV4500 right? Thanks Tanner |
You ought to post this in the 1st gen forum, you should get some good responses.

Seems to me second gen forum would work too.. what year 12V motor is it? And in answer to your questions, 35's and 410s will be pretty nice on the highway, similar to 315s and 410s Tx |
it is a '95 12valve Cummins in a '92 Ford F250 excab 4x4

I had a '74 F250 once upon a time, and it was plenty high enough to fit 35's. phox |
35's and 4.10's are a great combo. I have a 4.5" lift on my 98 2500. Any more and it would look too big for the 35's. Any less and the tires would look too big. I would suggest going with the 4". Just my .02 worth.

here's a chart i have found pretty handy. for a diesel, you'll wanna stay pretty close to the yellow squares. |
On that 92, 35s should fit easily with the 4" lift. My buddy has a 92 f-250 diesel with 33s on it stock, he just pushed out the bumper some. I believe that if you could find a nice leveling kit, 35s would fit, but I dont know about rubbing though. Hes planning on going to a 4" lift and 35s, unless he can find a leveling kit.
