www.backwoodsbumpers.com is another option for a bumper. A nice as the ARB is,it leaves your ps lines, cooler, intercooler and radiator exposed. Unlike the Ford unit,ARB doesn't provide a skidplate for it??
It'll be interesting to see how the Carli coils work with the bumper/winch setup. The initial rate is soft, then firms up.

I am seriously trying to find a winch mount option for my truck as well.. I like the Warn Trans4mer, but for the $$, I could just buy a backwoods bumper and be done with it. Let's see some pics of the truck!!

Look at Bodygaurd bumpers. They have a great approach angle, great strength, and reasonable weight.
What are you going to be doing with the truck? The front axle housings are weak on these trucks if you get a little frisky offroad. I wouldn't bother replacing the hubs until they wear out first. Carli ball joints should probably be on the list at some point. Integrate some JKS quicklinks into the front sway bar if you do slow offroad.
You made a good choice going with the Carli kit. It'll be easy later on to upgrade to the full leaves in rear, and some reservoir shocks!

Ball joints also were done. Tried XRF joints, so we will see... would go with carli's joints next if these fail...

I would plan on trying to mount a winch on your truck. If you truly want it to be an excursion vehicle you will most likely be stuck sometime. Since you are trying to stay light in the front you should look at having a winch in a cradle so you can mount it in your bed when not in use and have the ability to mount it on a receiver hitch on the front and back of the vehicle. Unit bearing hubs are strong but it is difficult to tell when they will fail. You should start piecing the parts slowly so you don't get sticker shock from the price of the parts.

Yea, i had a mile marker winch mount bought for the truck...
so thats now not going to work... looking for light ideas to get a winch mounted... recevier is not going to work as every reciever mount i can find either mounts really stupid low on the front end and is not rated for more than 9,500lbs... so that just wont work...
great idea, not practical application...
