37" Tire Turning Adjustment on 04 Diesel
Help!
I bought new Pro Comp Mudders, X-Terrain 37" tires with my 17" stock rim. They are on a 04 3500 Diesel 4x4 crew cab long box. I have a 6" BDS lift with steering stabilizer. Awesome package but of course the tires rub. I had BFG 35" A/T before with the lift and they rubbed too. It isn't a BIG deal however I find it a wee bit embarrassing when they rub. It really only happens in tight spaces like in parking situations. (Especially these tires because of the aggressive tread on the side wall) Can you please tell me how or IF I can adjust the turning radius so they will not rub so hard when making tight turns. I know this will not allow me to turn so sharp, but I'm willing to sacrifice a bit for the rubbing noise and vibration not to mention the embarrassment. [coffee] Cheers Marc |
Try trimming your fenders. Worked for me.

get your caster adjusted, sometimes it helps to move the axle slightly reward, that way as you turn in and your suspension compresses (slowing down) and your axle starts to move foward, you have a bit more clearence. not sure how much it rubs, but maybe a 3/4 or 1 inch spacer in the front will help as well.
OR find where it rubs and trim.... |

Your 35s rubbed with a 6" lift? [eyecrazy]

If your 35's rubbed with a 6" lift you have the wrong wheels. My 35's don't rub with a 2" lift.
