35" Tires Lift Kit?
I just purchased A set of 35x13.50x20 off of a friend of a friend and I would like to know If anyone knows what size of lift kit I need to make them work? I have heard eveything from just a 2" spacer on the front to a 4" on the front and a 2" on the back. I have an 06 2500 TRX4 edition Cummins!

Im pretty sure on a 3rd gen you can run 35s on just a 2" spacer, dont quote me though, I run 35s with TopGunCustomz 3" Spacer w/ only slight rubbing on control arms, but 3rd gens have different style control arms thus allowing 35s w/ just 2" lift. Correct me if Im wrong.[roll]

Dependes on the width of the rim and the backspacing. I had 35x12.5 on 17x8.5 with 5.5"bs and they fit fine with 2" spacers, but my 35x13.5 on 18x9.5 with 6" bs I needed 4" of lift.
2" spacers https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...84DSCF0007.JPG 4" lift https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...84DSCF0077.JPG |
Marc,
How does the superlift kit ride compared to stock? Your truck looks good !! David |
They are 20X10's in 35X13.50 and they came off of an 06 2500 but I can't talk to the guy who had them because he is in the Army In Turkey right now.

I think you'll need a 4" lift with 10" wide wheels

What wheels are they. Let me know and I can figure out what the offset is and that will help in answering your question. |

Hope that helps. David |
I just called 4 Wheel Parts to order a 4" lift. When I told the guy on the phone what I was putting on my truck tire wise he said all I will need is a 2" leveling kit.........Now, I am really confused? Can anyone HELP!!!!!
Dan |
a 35 will fit with 2" spacer, but not with those wheels. They don't know their from a hole in the ground. When I ordered my 35's from them they asked what they were going on and how much lift and said there might be rubbing (they are not even close to any kind of rubbing), so take little faith in there recommendations.

Dan Your combination will work and drive with 2" of lift, will you have rubbing, you sure will. If you use your truck offroad or articulate the suspension, (steep drive ways), you will probably wish you had gotten the 4". I hate it when you go up a driveway and here the big rub noise and it sounds like your fender is going to get ripped off or you turn into the parking spot at full lock and the tire is rubbing the whole way in and people look at you wondrering what the hell the noise is. I would hate for you to spend the money only to find out you need the 4". I am going with a 9" wheel with 5" of bs with 35's and I'm going to run 3.5-4.5". I HATE the rubbing noise and I've bent fenders before - not fun. This is just my opinion, please ask others for their advice and see what they say. Good luck !! David |
I would go with the 4", it looks nice with 35's, also my friend has a 04 with 35X12.50 and a 2" spacer, the backspacing on the wheels are close to stock and they almost rub. I'd say with the 13.5 wide 35's a 2" wont quite cut it.
I agree with trisum, tires that rub suck! |
hahaha I can only imagine how confusing this has got to be for you TRX, with everyone going back and forth, But I think ideally you'd want to go with the full 4" for looks and such, but I'm pretty sure it can be done with just the spacers
If I were you i'd bite the bullet and pay for the 4"...you'll be sure that you can fit your current 35s and you can possibly go bigger when it time for some new ones good luck man! |
