Time to start preppin....
Here's what I am thinking, since right now we are a body with no head (
)LOL...
Diesel Shootout: March 6-8th
Audience: DTR, CF, CompD, NCDuramax, Ford guys....
March 6th 5pm - XXX: Meet up at (X) location for a Meet -n- Greet, BBQ and Raffle. As well we will set up the registration booth for the DYNO and Drags.
March 7th 8am - Dyno event - Unlimited (Anything Goes), Modified (Twins NO-DRUGS), Street (Single chargers NO-DRUGS) **Lowest HP, HHP Dodge, HHP Chevy, HHP Ford**.
March 8th xxAM (If CPD will do this again) Tech and Shine, Stage and races start at xxAM. e.t. / q.d. /Unlimited /H.S.
This is just an Idea. But I think we need to get active and start working this again....Heck diesel is almost under 3.00 per gallon...If you have a better idea lets hear it!!!

always a great idea to get something started early.the sooner you get your race date out the longer participants have to make attendance plans.a few things to consider,the weather is very unstable early in the year like that and if bad weather happens it is hard to have a successful makeup day.we are moving our obx race back a bit farther this year as lots of events happen early and late but not so much in the middle.also in years past i believe team stuckey holds thier race the first weekend in march every year.holding an event on the same day will cut down on out of area attendance.racing orgs will be releasing next years scheduales very soon.you have a great idea,hit the ground running and dont look back.

I understand exactly what you are saying!! I was just throwing it out there as a feeler...All the dates are XX as we recieve input. I would like to get over and talk to Wayne and CPD about their availability. I took a lot away from our last event and I am just looking to work with our current leaders and try to knock this out of the park. I would like to see full participation of not just the DTR crew, but bring in all of the different crews out there. And to provide more of the "family" atmosphere I would be willing to put a feeler out to provide the jump house for kids and maybe a full size USMC 25x40 awning....with tables, chairs, bbq.....but there will need to be a lot of interest and commitment towards this!!!

Thanks buddy I do appreciate that and all the kind words on here. But lets bring this to a new thread....as I would still like to work this one for a spring GTG....
