Installed free spin hubs/Carli b jts... WOW.
My brother and I installed a Solid Axle SpynTec kit this weekend. I don't really care if my mileage goes up, but I'm loving how little vibration and how tight the steering feels now. One of the hubs looked/felt really worn out when we got it off. The nicest thing about this particular kit is I have all the part #'s so I can buy new bearings and rebuild it for ALOT less than a single unit bearing. It wasn't too bad of a job.
Also installed a set of Carli upper ball joints and new lower stock ones. They were a little worn from the 40's I guess.
Now I just got to survive another transmission drop in my driveway and my truck might be running good again.

You must have a pretty awesome big brother to help you with such a big job. I heard he even went out and bought a compressor to help with the job. We need to figure out if we are going to write a tech article on this install for Turbo diesel register.
Yeah, thanks for the help big bro. Truly.
Wish I had that compressor and air tools down here. Going out to start on the clutch now.
Everybody asking for pics, I think you got all the good ones.

Whoa!! That's alot more than I paid for the top of the line kit middle of last year. (Yes, I had them over 9 months before installing them).
You know Tad, I got alot of the part #'s. We might could put one together for you.

May look into that, I have about 78k on her now and she has been running bigger tires since 1500 miles. I am expecting to loose a unit bearing anytime with 18k on 37's now. I can tell a difference in fuel mileage by pulling the front shaft, but that sucks having a 4x4 without the x4 part.
