"Hanshaker" Shootout/Competiton @ "NC Drag Race"
Mike Dolan and myself have decided to put up some of the sponsorship money for this event to have a "Handshaker/Manual Transmission Drag Race Competition" between all of the manual tranny trucks at the Drag Race Part of our event on Friday night, October 10, 2008. Our thoughts would be to run "eliminations" between all of the manual/handshaker trucks until only the winner is left. IMHO, a really good race would be between Johnner (banshee)
and Lloyd Mills (lmills).
So,....all the "handshakers" we have in and outside of our group, let us know what you think and lets have some fun and start a list here.
Johnner,.......I am putting your name first on the list buddy!

I love the idea of a "Handshaker Showdown"! It's awesome to see guys that can put a manual truck down the 1320 quicker than some of the auto guys!
Banshee will be stiff competition and it will be a blast to watch.
I agree with you John. A race between Lloyd and Johnner would be awesome. The best part of the whole thing is that it's up for grabs. You miss one shift and it over, so anyone can win this class!

Thanks.....but those are on fuel.....last go at the track I ran the 12.9 on fuel, and then the 2nd pass I busted 4th gear.....really cheesed me off, the 12.9 pass had a 60' of 2.1 and a 330' of 5.6 and a 1/8 of 8.3, and the 2nd pass had a 60' of 1.7 and a 330' of 5.0.....and I was already doing 70+ at the 330'.....'cause I coasted too a 7.92@71mph at the 1/8th....and 4th blew at the 330' mark!! I am pretty confident that it would have been a VERY low 12 run or even an 11.

Great times! That sucks about the tranny, though. It could be time for a NV swap.
It's been a while since I've raced the truck. Hope I can remember how to shift!
