Guys, I need advise.....

I ran my truck Friday night, did a total of 6 runs. All of which were good runs, but I am noticing a pattern. I am running 10-12 LBS of boost on stage and maxxing out at 38 going down the strip. As well I am hitting 99.05 and "defueling". That is the absolute fastest I have gone. I know my R.T. is still slow, but my times have come a long way.

In this video, you may notice it....my tires were still wet from the pit and I broke traction. I still netted a 14.03 even after letting out then hammering it again...

In this one I ran a 13.77 @ 96.7 he was running a PMT and trans... He ran a 15.43

I just do not think I am hitting what I could because she isn't fueling hard enough. I am wondering if REVO will do any better than 4.4 on level 9.

Nate:

Great numbers buddy! Sorry I couldn't have been there with you!

I would try that other program and see how it does for you. As I think I told you, each truck seems to act differently with these different programs.

THanks John, I also posted a poll for the guys on the 3rd gen page. I am just not seeing any smoke at all which is good and bad. Good because I am using everything there is, and not going close to 1500*. Bad cause I know she has more available!!!

It's probably just me being silly but the revo will let you ramp your rail pressure up, the TNT would allow you to let the dog out. If you don't want to load the new stuff, find somebody up your way that has the Revo and borrow it for the evening. Just make sure to turn yours back to stock first, just in case.

Nate,

I will tell you, that is very quick considering your truck is still pretty stock. How is the tranny doing? You should address that first thing. Then get that turbo. Smoke, well you're right it is a good sign when you don't really see it, I would say the program you have is doing a good job. Like John said tho, give the other program a try, you never know till you try. I've been meaning to try the smarty, let me know when you will be out there next buddy.....

Next run will be the 2nd friday of july. I will be there in high spirits....and sporting possibly a new mod....Can you say...AIR!!! The trans is doing great right now. Still has some road manners I need to iron oout, but at the track she is rocking!

Monster,

I saw you 2 times this weekend, all of which were on Western. I am more than willing to let you try out the smarty....I thought you had one already for some reason.

I agree, she is fast for only 1 programmer. But there is more there....I know there is....

I think I would run the 62/71/13. The 71 LDP wheel is way better for keeping the EGTs in check over the 65.

I would also look at BD's Super B Special, 64/71/14. I run this charger and it's great! I can give you a POC for this charger if you need it.

Doesn't the smarty still need something to boost fool? With that much fueling I'd think you'd be over 38 psi. It sounds like it may be defueling to keep the boost down. If you had a box to fool that signal then it would likely keep fueling and make a lot more power. Beyond that, the stock turbo is the biggest bottleneck. Your trap speed is mostly indicative of how much power you're making, and the stock charger will only move so much air. The bigger turbines like Mike mentioned will flow a lot better at the expense of a little spool up, but it won't be too bad. I don't think you'll gain a ton on the EGT front, but a turbo swap will pick up 30-40 hp.

Banshee,

As always this is why I am here....You guys are really a great group, full of the know how. I am working out a deal on a turbo right now...and will hopefully be just a tad faster soon. I was so sick to my stomach seeing those Duramax trucks last weekend running 13 flat with nothing but the EFI Live...

With that said, I wish I could have kept the Quad race box on. But even in the off position I was getting what I believe to be timing knock. However, I could hit 42-45 psi FAST with it...where now I hit 38 and fall off fast. You are on the money about de-fueling,even with the smarty set to boost fool on. But with this new turbo and the manual wastegate I should be rocking 40-45 again...pending fuel delivery.

A CP3 isn't going to do anything without a set of injectors. I've got a spare II stage 2 CP3 I can let go, but I don't think its going to help with the power without a set of sticks.
