Dunn-Benson Drag way

I went tonight and I must say I was very impressed. It is a very nice place and is Almost as nice as OBX but not quite. However, one of the nicest parts is that the water is where you dont have to drive through it. They even warmed the start section with a big blow torch at the beginning. I was very upset with my time and will not show the times but I lost over 1/2 a second with the big turbo. cannot get that thing lit even on a boosted launch. Have to have Smarty. Low end is killing me. But once again, very nice track.

D/Benson is what I call my home track. Haven't been in a long while though. Got away from 1/8 mile tracks with the diesels as they really start rocking on the top half of the 1/4. Are you going to MATR in April? I will be running my Smarty by then but it's easy enough to take off if you want to try it.

This past summer I ran Thursday nights regularly at D/B. I do OK.

I'll be back out there just as soon as I can get this head torqued. Get tuned up for MATR.

CHET:

Sounds like a great drag strip. Thanks for the report!

Don't worry about your times buddy, as soon as you get the Smarty on there you are going to get alot of that "bottom-end" back!

After 3rd evrything clears right up. Im going back thur night if the smarty comes in on time. Never runnin it again with the bully dog only.

CHET, I'd like to think I'll have my heap running again in the next couple of weeks. I'm putting the head on tomorrow and as soon as it's torqued good-n-tight, I'm gonna run there to see what it's worth.

Hope you'll still be running there then as win or loose, it'd be a pleasure for me to be able to make a pass with another Dodge/CTD for once.
