6th Annual Dyno/Drag Race Classes & Prizes
Hey all,
Just wanted to get the ball rolling about what sort of classes and associated prizes will be up for competition at the upcoming October 10th and 11th NC18 Dyno and Drag Race. There have been traditionally been two or three classes for the dyno competition and another handful for the drag racing to give everyone a fair shot. On top of that, I always felt it was fun to add in some competition on areas that are part of the racing/dynoing, so I added in some "additional prizes". I figured I'd throw some ideas out there and everyone can adjust them as they see fit:
DYNO CLASSES:
1. Dealership Diesel - Stock trucks, stock chargers, no power adders
2. Street Diesel - Any Single Charger, any fueling mods, No Drugs (Drugs = nitrous, water/meth, propane, etc.)
3. Super Street Diesel - Any Charger combination, any fueling mods, No Drugs
4. "Oh My God" Diesel - Any chargers, any drugs... the big guns. Got 1k?
Additional prizes:
1. "Know your power" - guess your HP before the "humbler" tells you the truth. The closest guess to the actual HP wins!
2. Lowest HP. You probably get the best fuel mileage!
3. "Huffer prize" - the biggest gain on drugs over #2. Drugs are expensive!
4. Top Ford HP - Because there's no way a Ford can hang with the Dodges
(J/K on this one!)
DRAG RACING CLASSES:
1. Devil Dog DI Challenge - Marines only. Challenge the DI "Madhat" heads up. The winner will have him dropping to give you 50!
2. E/T Bracket - any trucks, any speed. Run your dial-in and key in on the lights to be a real threat.
3. Quick Diesel - Heads up to a dial in of 12.5(?) 13.0(?). Run as close to the index as you can without going over!
4. Modified Diesel - Heads up on the 1/4, street racing style. The one to turn on the win light gets ALL the bragging rights!
Additional prizes:
1. Fastest Reaction Time - A .000 light isn't luck to you, it's pure skillz!
2. Mr. Consistency - Always a threat in the bracket class, you have two timeslips with the closest ETs.
3. Fastest Manual Tranny Truck - Anyone can drive an automatic!!

My plan is to hammer everything out this weekend down at the National Speed dyno event with your pops.
