Talking Thanks to the guys of NCDTR #18

Today was the 1st meeting for the North Carolina chapter #18. I just wanted to say thanks to all who attended, attempted to but had truck issues, Rob_OBX , and all who e-mailed me with interest in future meetings. It was a good time and a great chance to put faces to names. Hope all made it home safely. If anyone has ideas for the next meeting, please contact me or post on the forums. Thanks again to:

Terry and all N.C. DTR Members:

We enjoyed meeting and talking with everyone at our first
N.C. DTR get-together!! Terry, thank you for "taking the first
step" on this and organizing the event!! It was good to see
old friends again and to meet new ones. We are looking
forward to building this chapter and to setting-up some
events here.

Jack Thorpe, we missed you again buddy!! Hope you can
make one of the events soon!

Hello
It was great meeting everyone, we are looking forward to future events with the NC folks and the Va folks.

John
I will keep my head down. Thanks.
It sounds like I missed a pretty good ride on the return trip. I don't know how fast Leigh Ann truck will go, I had it up just over 100 one time but not for long.

I will be leaving tomarrow for a trip across the big pond, I should be back the end of June.

Take care
See Ya
Chris

All ya'll east coast boys missed half of the party. Right after you left, the sun came out. We stood out there and kicked tires and popped hoods for another couple of hours. I think a good time was had by all. It was good to put names to faces. Speaking of which, Terrence; since you have all the applications, are you putting together a spreadsheet with names, addresses, phone numbers,...? If so, can you email it to everyone? Just remember, not everyone wants to give out all their info, so they'll need to let you know if it's okay. If you need any help, let me know. I know you've got an extended trip planned soon. Stay safe.

I look forward to the next get together. Lets be thinking of a time and place. See ya'll next time.

David

I'm in a class now preparing me for my trip. This weekend I will e-mail everyone who attended to make sure I can send out an access roster/phone + e-mail list. Thanks again, Terry.

Hey Guys

How is everything on your side of the world?

I haven't been on much lately so I just saw this. Hope everything turned out good for you.

I sure miss hanging out with you guys.

You guys are some of the best folks I every got to hang out with. Some of our best memories from NC invovle trips with you all. Trips to Gettysburg with Keith.
Tractor pulls with David and the Smurfs. The trip to Cummins store in MD with David. I'll never forget the "Beer Run" with John and Chris in the Red Rocket. The ride with Johner when he laid the longest black marks I've ever seen.

Also I miss that good ole NC BBQ. Sure could go for a pig pickin.

Hope to see you again someday.

Wes

Wes:

Heh buddy, it is GREAT to hear from you!!!! I know
we haven't see you on here in awhile. We were all
talking about those "good old times" you mentioned
at our recent NC DTR Meeting up in Smithfield. We
REALLY miss you Wes!! And yes, I remember the
"Beer Run" in the Red Ram Rocket!! I don't think
you guys will ever forget it!!

Johnner traded his old 2001 off for a brand new
2004 6-speed Wes! It is an all black 4X4 with 315
BFG's! He decided he wanted to shift gears this
time!

Anyway, take care Wes!! Say hello to the family for
us!
