.
Good knowin there is at least one local on the board

Yeah i went out to Cowboy Pickup suply yesterday and priced gauges, $450 for just a boost and pyro installed, 375 out the door. I thought that was a little much since i found some places on the net that i could get the same thing for 250. Next time I see you around time I'll make sure i give you a big hello.

Id say the Cowboy Pickup Supply guys are all a big joke
. I went lookin for a bulb for my ISSPRO Pyro and he (owner) went on ranting about how ISSPRO gauges are crap and how Autometer are the REAL diesel gauges
. I dont believe Ive been back in there since
. I bet he (Cowboy) didnt even tell you that you need a fuel pressure gauge for your 02
. That kinda gives you an idea of his credibility. If youre lookin for some gauges check out www.wildcatdiesel.com , Rod is a great guy and he'll sure get you a set of gauges for cheaper than that.
Ill be lookin for ya,

YEah, these were Autometers that he was trying to sell me. For some reason I have bought a Couple of things out there, i guess because its handy, but i am never gonna buy anything out there again. I just keep thinkin that i will give them a chance to be competititve. but i guess thats not gonna happen. I may just have to call wildcat, i only hear good things about them.
Only place i can think of that is remotely close is Dr. Performance in Weatherford, but i dont know anything about them. That is kinda out of the way for me. I dont take I-20E very much.

I think Id rather use Cowboy!
.
But seriously, do yourself a favor and dont bother stoppin in Weatherford
Hes been known to swear by putting 500hp to the ground with a stock drivetrain and NO gauges with only one of his boxes and a set of his injectors
. His motto is quote " If you do it right, you dont need gauges."
And thats all I have to say about that

I submitted an application through Larry Ellis as per the application form instructions about 5 months ago indicating that I would like to join the DTR-TX cahpter. I have not heard a word one way or the other. Can you help me? I'm in Victoria; but Dallas is not unreasonable.

dogger,
I'll get with Larry and find out what's going on.
While we're here.......Everyone needs to be sure and post anything that's going on in your area. This is a big state, and there is probably a lot of small events that people would like to know about. Even get-togethers at the local DQ or Sonic would probably be of interest to some people. Also, I'm sure everyone would appreciate your passing on any information like local dyno shops, good diesel mechanics, local shops that do mods, individuals who will help with mods or bombing, etc.
If we can get a reasonable of responses, I'll make a compile list and make it available to everyone.
