Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone was going to the fall Grand Rod Run in Piegon Forge, Tennessee this September. There are many Dodge owners that show up, but I didn't know if some might be members. I would like to meet up with some you. I am taking my truck this time, because of fuel issues on my Monte Carlo SS. I would also like to go to some truck pulls that are in the region, but I just don't know of any. Thanks, ERIC.

 

When is the rod run?

 

Sept 14, 15, 16. I'll be there. Look for a yellow 2005 QC with a 5 inch lift on 37s. Can't miss it. I'll prob be with a red 2008 superduty on 40s.

Is there a sanctioned event or is it just a bunch of pepple getting together. My father has a membership at a campground there and we are always looking for an excuse to visit. I also want to see how the old girl pulls since the nv4500 swap and stack install.

 

It is an event at the Grand Resort. Go to www.grandrodrun.com. It's a lot of fun. Every lane of the strip is packed full of cars and trucks until well after midnight. Diesels have really been taking over the past few years. It's always a good time. I go every spring and fall.

 

I think we might come up there this year. Guess I need to was the truck and shine up the new stacks. Do the diesels show the trucks or just get together while there.

 

There's not been any diesels in the show so far. It's so packed that basically all of pigeon forge is one big car show tho. All of the parking lots are full. Do a search for smokin in the smokies. DP Tuner along with some others put on a dyno and get together in gatlinburg during the rod run. From what I gather, this is only for the spring rod run and not the fall. They have a free dyno there every time. Call Jody at DP Tuner if you want more details.

 

So is there going to be a dyno there that weekend?
