Good stuff... Yeah i'll definitely consider that route... I just get a little nervous about messing stuff up... I'm a young guy (23) and I'm newlywed, newly housed (mortgage), and all that good stuff... So making a potentially very expensive mistake is the only thing that scares me... Not to mention my lack of a back up vehicle.

Thats why I usually have my stuff professionally installed (the hard stuff... beyond exhausts/intakes/programmers.) Truth be told... I'm not much of a mechanic myself... I learn as much as possible, but I'm pretty much a jackass once it comes to beyond basics. I'd definitely like to hook up with you guys though... I'll fill out my stuff and get it back to you!

I'm the same way, but I've learned alot since being involved with the Chapter. Maybe not in building up my truck so much as watching or helping (what little I can) with other trucks. And there is plenty of mech experience to handle most anything. Only down side for me is that it's a long drive, but I get to make a day of it and get away from the family for some testosterone building

Being young don't hurt either since some of these guys are getting long in the tooth and need help lifting heavy stuff .

im only 21 (22 next week) and short of high tolerance machine work, and precision fabrication, i am not scared to work on anything. i have a list about a page long of work done on my truck and the only thing i have not done on my own so far is the machine work on the head itself!

Hey all. I just joined the MD Chapter via Jason Gies. Both of us are from Delaware.

You guys ever install gauges? Drilling and tapping is not my speciltiy. Also you guys know where I can get a set of H2 wheels bored out? Mine are due in Friday and I wanted to get them and the spacers installed before I go to OBX.

Thanks and nice to meet you all
Bob

We have done a bunch of gauges. We just did mine about a month ago. Scot is a master at drilling and tapping. He is just going to leave the wiring to you.

Any competent machine shop can bore out your wheels for you. You just need to tell them how much to take off...

No problem with wiring, Scotte can do it too, but he doesn't like to I'd be happy to do wiring for gauges if I'm able to stop by.

As everyone stated, we have enough expertise to handle most anything within the group so bring on your stuff, learn some more yourself, and have some fun doing it.

Don't see much action from the MD gang on this thread? Everyone just going as spectators? Cecil County is only about 45-50 minutes from B'more...

Ewwwww..........

I am about 1 mile from the drag strip, and trust me, on Sundays, you KNOW IT!

The burnouts are pretty amazing, you'd swear it was a car actually RUNNING the 1/4 mile sometimes.

I have room here, no doubt.

I'm down. Checked the work schedule yesterday and I'm off already, so everythings a go with me.

BTW, is anyone going to Spring Fling in Dillsburg, PA on the 19th or 20th?

I am planning on going Saturday.

Anybody else?

This Saturday, I am installing lots of new stereo stuff in my truck. I bought new speakers, head unit, amplifier, and a cap. Should be fun. I am planning on JP welding some studs on the back wall behind the rear seat and mount the cap and amp back there. Hopefully this will work.

Good luck getting to that back wall Joe. There is plenty of room for stereo stuff under the driver and passenger seats (and the seat bolts make good grounds too). Good luck on the install, we can compare war stories afterward one day at "The Cave".

I'm still looking for a 1st mate for my shakedown cruise on Saturday (the wife doesn't let me go alone for medical reasons) if anyone is interested. Just going out for a little ride and a raft up. Relaxing day on the water, ahhhhh....Anyone interested hit me up in a PM and I'll tell you when and where to be.

BN, Steve, I'm planning on going and trying to get Tim, Mopar, From PS.com to come with me again. Saturday would be the day I can go, the GF comes home from a cruise sunday, so I'll be busy :-)
