I'm gonna have to pass on this one. Betcha NWBHoss will be there tho.. He's really starting to get wrapped up in the racin' and pullin' aspects of his truck. He even got his wife a CTD of her own.

~dave

How's about an update on this, nwbhoss?
Called Pac R/W today and was told that gates open @ 4pm on Sat. Show and shine?
Can you clarify the entire schedule?
Was looking to bring the M/H up Fri aft., and make a weekend out of it, but it seems that won't be the case.
Appreciate the input.

Re:Diesel Drags Kent Wash Aug 8th & 9th

nwbhoss,

I plan on being there this weekend, I even put the truck on a diet. It is so nice to be able to run locally. One thing that I was curious about was the heads up racing. What happens when somebody runs faster than 12.00? I know the track will higher than likely stop that truck from running again that day if it doesn't have a rollbar. I wonder what Randys take will be on this subject as he is the guy giving out the 4' tall trophy and the checks.
I have been waiting for an event like this to come about. I hope other shops/vendors start sponsoring these kind of events in the future at Pacific Raceway. With BC so close you know there are some sleepers hanging around, and no I wasn't referring to the legalization of BC bud. (Not that- that would be a bad thing.)
Also I think it's a great thing that the gates don't open till 4p.m. for us each day. It gives the ones who make the 16 cutoff time to do some wrenching on Sat as well as recover from going out Fri night. :P

Looks like I missed you there on Saturday, Opie. Sorry to hear that your wrenching would have taken a bit more time than was available overnight.

Got that hay unloaded yet?

Catch you next time.

Some good runs laid down by several trucks.
I'll let them fill you in.

Thanks to Randy's Offroad for their work to organize this event.

I ran two of my all time best times of 12.29 @ 111mph and 12.36 @ 110mph. I had a great time with the exception of Opies truck breaking. He also ran an all-time best time of 12.53 @ 101mph (blew the turbo to turbo pipe mid run) before he broke his tranny.

Re:Diesel Drags Kent Wash Aug 8th & 9th

That was Bill Fletcher and his son Will (Junior to me). There 2wd std cab 95 ran a 12.18
It was very cool to watch!!!!!!
My favorite run of the weekend was halfway thru Fridays runs when Nathan and Opie showed up and ran head to head!!!!!!
Dont quote me on the numbers but they both ran in the 12.4's
It was an excellent race!!!!

Travis your truck rock's!!!!!!!!

Rhonda ran great and did not break

Mike Ramos drove the Power shop truck (an auto) to great times!

Rip broke the triple digit barrier with a 102 mph pass!!!!!!

We had a few trucks run into problems a couple trannies one turbo and one VP44.

Jesse took home two trophies 2nd place Show n Shine and Third place in brackets!!! (note to self I owe him $50.00 for the shifter)

Hey Juice you will love this a Chebbie took first place in the brackets!!!!!

We also had a guy with a wild drag semi who took second in brackets (he did some very cool burnouts!)

Bill Fletcher Took The big dog shootout and the 5 and a half foot trophy home!! 12.18 that was amazing!!!!!

We had a great time all weekend.

It was nice to meet Opie and Nathan Finally (Both great guys) I saw Dezlpwr's truck but never got to meet him.
Peirs & Louise, Paul, Rip & Tammy,Travis, Jesse, Sly bones & Rose, Bob Wagner, Morgana, Samamish Bob, Lucky Jeff & Stephanie, Will & Bill, Sam & Billie, Mrs Hoss, Rusty, MikeR, Evan, Ol Smokey, Lenny, Rhonda Thank you all and those who's names I may have missed

And a special thanks to Randys Off Road for putting on a Great!!! event!!!!!!

The Raffle was awsome Two exhaust systems, several AFE filters and housings, gift certificates, Floor mats hats, shirts, and tons of other stuff!!!!

I can't wait for next year, we hope to have a moble dyno and sled pulls next year.
The track was very happy with the turnout and the way we conducted ourselves, A few of the track sweepers were unhappy with the excessive exhaust smoke
I guess they don't mind rubber but hate diesel smoke!!!!!

WE HAD A BLAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hoss

PS Sorry it took so long to reply :-[ I don't get over here as much as I should!!!

Eric,

Now thats funny! I had forgotten about this thread. Rob actually had the hay unloaded/stacked before I arrived. And let me take the trailer to Spokane last weekend.
I plan on pour'n the coals to it this weekend at Mission. Unlike the week prior to PR, this week the rig has been running proud. It's going on a mission at Mission weekend! 8)
